R&R Deerrun Campground Reviews
We had a last minute change of travel plans and spent the spring/summer here and it was great! There is a diner/camp store open during the weekends and the food/service was great! We travel a lot so we get to see a large number of campgrounds and we prefer the smaller family owned ones over the larger ones where you feel like you are a sardine trapped between RVs. One of the things I fear most when going to a campground out in the country are the unknown roads, but the roads in this area are big rig friendly so you will not have any issues getting to or from the campground. I have a list of pros/cons and hopefully they help you out.Pros: Family/pet friendly, plenty of activities to join on the weekends/holidays, quiet during the week, the owners and the other campers in general are friendly and helpful. There is a playground, a pond for fishing, 15-20 minutes away from groceries.Cons: They only have 20/30 AMP service, but they are in the process of doing many upgrades and electric is on that list. Cell service is spotty, so working from home can be challenging, but nothing that a booster wouldn't help with.Thank you so much for making room for our family on such short notice. We greatly appreciate you guys and cannot wait to return next time we are back up that way.
