★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1This was one of the nicest campgrounds I've ever stayed at! Beautiful short hike up to the waterfall.
July 18 · Jude “thing” McKinniesThis is a very well put together National campground/park. Multiple campsites with tables & fire pits. I personally think campsite #11 is the best. That one an another I saw, maybe more, have wood burning stoves that you could cook on! How cool is that! Hopefully next time I’ll have some people to come with me & we can make a meal on one, 🤷. They also have trails & one that leads to a beautiful waterfall. There is also a trail that leads to a lake. Didn’t take that trail this time.
July 22 · Jerad W. H.We camped in loop A, number 5, for 4 days from August 24 thru 28. This is the most scenic location we have ever camped. The trailhead to Pine Creek Falls is in the campground and it is a beautiful walk.We were there for a wedding at the adjacent Luccock Park Church Camp and it was an easy walk down to the wedding site, photo included. The campsite hosts were very pleasant when they came by to warn us about the bears smelling cooking orders if we were to use our grill. However, a warning. We were towing a small car behind our 34 foot class A motorhome. The road up to the camp is about 2.8 miles from the highway along the Yellowstone River and it is very steep and narrow. There are a few pull offs but it was a white knuckle driving experience going up....coming down was easier. With a smaller camper this is a world class camping site
August 30 · Jim PriceIf you like nice out of the way camp grounds, this is a good place. Miles off the highway on a single lane paved road. I took a 19 foot 5th wheel camper in. There is one tight switch back to navigate and is interesting if you meet someone coming the other way. Very quiet.
June 15 · Frederick ColemanNeighbors (4 cars in two spots) had no concept on how noise carries. They were playing music from their car and with instruments. Site is great, up a long, paved windy one lane road. Directions on website aren’t right. Just watch for signs. Not six miles on dirt road. Turn left to get to city after dirt road. Great path by creek. It's a one and a half lane road up the hill. If you are going up, you have the right of way!
