Pea Ridge Bike Camp Reviews
All the other positive reviews are accurate. This is a really nice primitive campground - perfect for mountain bikers. The sites are spacious, clean, grassy, and well maintained - half of them out in the open and half of them with shade. No cars will be driving by you out here like in the other campgrounds. Port o potties are very clean and the outdoor shower is nice (hot water). Your stay even comes with free firewood! The owner Damon is very accommodating and a really nice guy with lots of helpful information. There are some classic unique touches with this campground: a school bus used as a common area loaded with trail information, a communal fire pit, a communal canopy area, an old toll booth where you can charge your devices, and even a proper bike cleaning station. If you're here camping and doing the excellent mountain bike trails of the Bentonville area, I'd highly recommend staying here.
Jun 22, 2025 · R CWe’ve been traveling in a 24’ travel trailer for the past few months and Pea Ridge Bike Camp was one of our very favorite stops. Damon is a wonderful host full of info and travel suggestions (and colorful stories!). The parked school bus on site is full of maps and brochures and is shelter from rain if needed. A heated outdoor shower, sinks for dishes, plenty of firewood, individual and communal fire pits, porta potties, a gas grill, and phone charging sites are added bonuses. The property is beautiful and near a gravel bike trail. Campsites are very roomy. Highly recommend!
Apr 23, 2025 · Kathleen ChristophersonMid October this was the first place we camped at on our Arkansas motorcycle adventure. Damon was very hospitable from the very beginning, making sure we had a site with enough room for the people in our group. Coming from western Kansas we had a delay and showed up way later than I hoped. He was understanding and made sure we knew exactly where I site was. Waking up the next morning Damon walked out from a community campfire he started being a brisk morning and greeted us and introduced himself. It is a great area set up is awesome with good clean restrooms and campsites. Very tent camper friendly. Had a minor issue with a motorcycle that morning and Damon offered any help he could to get us going. Will definitely stay here again!!!!
Nov 15, 2024 · Joshua HeierThis was an amazing campsite!! We had an incredible view by the open field, watching the gorgeous sunrise and sunset!! Damon and Robin were above and beyond hospitable and more than accommodated us with all we needed and then some! You get to enjoy a communal campfire, you get your own stack of wood to make your personal campfire at your site! :)) Nice outhouses, and a really nice shower with warm water, which they clean daily! You will not be disappointed staying here! We stayed in a truck bed tent, and absolutely loved it!!
May 27, 2024 · Tracy GreenwoodSo glad we found this gem just outside Bentonville! 5 Stars doesn't do this experience justice. The area is tucked off the main roads and it feels like you're pulling up to family property. Damon is a fabulous host and met us when we arrived after dark to help guide us into our camping spot. There is plenty of space between "campsites" so you can be as private or community-focused as you want to be.Our kids (8 and 5) loved running around the field and playing at the small playground. Damon had fires going at the big firepit in the evening and morning and that was a big luxury for me (since I'm usually waking up early to get those going). Great instant hot shower (outdoor) and spacious port-a-potties. 10 mins to get to downtown Bentonville. It was our first time to the area, and initially we tried to get reservations at Coler and Blowing Springs RV Park, but I couldn't be happier that we landed at Pea Ridge. When we come back to visit, Damon will be our first call!!!
