Paliza Family Campground Reviews
Fantastic host. Quiet except for when the hikers and firewood cutters drive by on FR10. Cleanest campground I have ever stayed at. They even rake the gravel at every site. Zero ash in the fire pit and waist-high grill. Be prepared to sleep on asphalt if you are tent camping. Lantern holders at the new sites is a nice feature. No potable water, but there's plenty to filter/boil from the stream. Half of the camp is generator free. CG is within walking distance of the Goblin Hoodoos trailhead.

Oct 15, 2023 · American MadePaliza is a beautiful campground! A couple things to know before you go. You need to bring your own water. I don't think there is any water available in the campground. The road to the campground can get bad after a hard rain, so be aware of possible access issues during the monsoon season. Lastly, there are no reservations so it is first come first serve. There are tall pines and fairly level sites so it's worth the drive.
Aug 27, 2021 · Carol GA picture-perfect campground! Our group included children and first-time campers, and we couldn't have chosen a better place to camp. We were fortunate to use one of the sites with a fireplace and a lean-to structure, which provided protection from the light rain. The ground was covered in soft gravel, so even with the rain, nothing became muddy. The vault bathrooms were within sight of our camp (so the kids felt comfortable going solo), cleaned daily, and equipped with comforting sensor lights. It was evident that time and consideration went into designing the campsites. Being near a trailhead was fantastic, as we could easily explore the Goblin Colony volcanic rock formations.
