★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Camped when it was very hot but the cool water was so refreshing and our lot (111) had beach front access. Nice big trees for shade. Fire pits at every site. We were able to walk a short distance and float back to our campsite several times on small tubes from home which was a lot of fun. Rafts and canoes available as well for longer floats. Campsites were clean and large so plenty of room for games while back at site. Note phone service is spotty which may be an issue for some but it was a nice retreat for us!
June 23 · Mandysue HalleyThe scenery was beautiful, the location peaceful, and the surroundings well-maintained. The exterior of the lodge was clean and nicely kept. However, there were a few issues inside the lodge. The shower water did not drain properly, so the drain may need to be cleaned. There was quite a bit of dust and cobwebs inside the room. just a quick sweep with a broom during cleaning would make a big difference. It was hard to tell whether the bedding had been washed, possibly due to the overall dustiness in the room. Also, the Wi-Fi did not work at all inside the lodge, even though we paid a daily fee for it.During the night, a raccoon got into the trash and ate some food, which we watched from inside. it was actually pretty entertaining! That said, we really enjoyed swimming in the river, and the pool was very clean too. Next time, we’d love to try booking a tent site as well.
June 26 · HS NaWhat can I say there is absolutely nothing good about this place in my opinion for one they don't even have a playground for children they have the aerial park which is nice if you can afford $30 a person The river access that was near my tent site was a muddy mess you couldn't even get through it without losing your river shoes not to mention if you wanted to bring a cooler or anything else down there. We rented a float The weather was really not permittable to do floating but because we didn't pay the trip fee (extra money like everything isn't high enough already) we didn't get a rain check or money back or anything It was just a waste of $400. The tent sites were $50 a night without electric which is outrageous you can almost get a hotel room for that price. Not to mention everything that they sold there was absolutely hiked up in price which okay I understand to a point It is a seasonal place but I just feel a lot of the things were unnecessarily high. Also I would have waited till I got there to have rented my raft but when I spoke to them on the phone they made it seem like they would not have had enough because it was a holiday weekend memorial Day weekend when we got there they had an entire boat house full of them and then some there was nowhere near as many campers as they had rafts. So there definitely would have been enough and I could have saved $400. Also they did call me and told me that they switched my tent site I originally had a different tent site I don't know if that one was electric or not I don't know if that one had a nice access to the river or not but I know the one I was did not. Also the tent site I had really had nowhere to put our tents comfortably. There is tire ruts throughout the entire site. This was just one of the worst camping experiences I've ever have in my life as far as their accommodations goes however we of course made the best of it and played some card games and cooked food and had a good time for all the mess that was going on around us. I just really feel for the amount of money we spent to stay here and to do the float it should have been way better!! Also the pictures I'm posting doesn't even justify the mud mess because the further you go back the worse it was I couldn't even get back there to take the pictures because I was already losing my shoes and getting extremely muddy otherwise had I gotten back there you would see that you would have to go through another foot of muddy water to get all your supplies to the river.
June 05 · Michelle StilesUnder new management. There are many other places in the vicinity that will treat you far better. We were long time patrons spending several weeks a year there in a camper. Often we would be the only campers in the park. Out of the blue today I get a call they were canceling all my reservations for 2025 because I complained at our stay May 1st the park wasn't ready for campers. Also be advised they raised their rates this year for everything except floating. It just isn't the friendly place it once was. Strongly suggest anyone wanting to be treated like a valued patron to not book here. You can do better!
May 23 · Ronald GreenThis was the worst place to go. From being charged 4% additional on line and triple the price for the site itself. Then overcharged for last night over advertised prices. Then the float was too shallow and loaded with obstacles, including dirty underwear and used needles. Never felt more unsafe and I served in 2 combat zones. Had 2 teenagers with me and could not contact them on cell phones because cell and wifi were all blocked. Will never go back here and will tell everyone not to go here anymore.
