Otter Creek Outdoor Recreation Area Campground Reviews
We went there camping and had a good time. The camp sites are really nice and plenty of trees. The showers are in good shape and for the section we were at, there were two close by. The only minor complaint would be that some of the individual camp sites could be marked a little better. We also went to Bernheim Forest which was about 30 minutes away and I recommend that also if you get a chance.
Sep 07, 2023 · B REnjoyed a week at this beautiful campground! Wonderful site at A4, accommodating our 40ft RV with plenty of shade and room to spread out. Very quiet spot right near the Camp Host--Rose and Pete were super hosts, answering all our questions and making sure we were happy during our stay. Counting our blessings for the kind help the hosts offered us during a personal dilemma on check-out day...very blessed! And can't leave out their furry, four-legged "welcome wagon" Moonshine. :)As for the cleanliness of the campground, just amazing! Volunteers are on board as well, making sure there are clean campsites, restrooms and showers! The grounds were monitored day and night by the hosts throughout our stay and we felt very safe. The area is very nice, lots of trees and good areas to walk or ride our bikes. Trails and creeks, the Ohio River...plenty of nature to observe nearby! The wildlife and birding opportunities are great! The camp was conveniently located near Fort Knox base where we were visiting our soldier. Less than 30 min away, Elizabethtown was bustling with countless restaurants and shopping areas. Visited the nearby Bernheim Forest and Arboretum which has beautiful scenery and trails upon trails leading you to the impressive giants living within. Plenty to do while camping here! Will definitely visit this campground again if the opportunity presents itself and highly recommend it to others.

Aug 16, 2024 · beth lamkinOtter Creek camp ground has clean facilities bathrooms showers, was still early in the year so clean up of branches and maintenance is still going on. Have horse camp sites, primitive, water of full hook ups. Easy access. Lots need to be marked better!
Apr 08, 2021 · Randy Kunath. AfterAnotherAdventureAbandoned restaurant, really cool to look at. There's a lot of broken glass. The view of the river is awesome. There is so much to do with this place. If you drive on down you can find the blue hole which is beautiful place to swim and fish. Not very popular so it's gorgeous. After you park it's about a half mile easy walk to the creek .The more popular spot is also beautiful kids were playing in it and swimming and people were having picnics. It was a busy place and everybody was having fun and laughing and splashing.
