O'Haver Lake Campground Reviews
Bumpy road, beautiful lake. The dock had a bunch of algae around it, so we drove to the other day-use area to swim with toddlers. We also caught some fish and put blow-up canoes in the water.
Jun 28, 2025 · Gina DavenportWe loved this campground and lake! Nice clean water with beautiful hills and mountains in the background. This small lake is perfect for paddle boarding, kayaking, and fishing without the loud sounds of big boat motors. You can also swim here unlike most lakes in Colorado. Camp hosts, Renee and Ron, were awesome. We camped at site 12 at the western end and they routinely checked up on us to ensure our needs were met. They gave us a parking pass to use at other locations in the area and some free night crawler bait for fishing. Clean organized campground with pristine vault toilets. My family and I really enjoyed the experience. We will definitely return in the future. While site #12 seemed remote, we had some folks enter/exit the trail through our site a few times.
Jun 10, 2022 · Ron CThis was a wonderful camping experience. We were lucky enough to book site 26 last minute when someone else canceled. It is a shared camp site with 28 but we had enough room between our neighbors for it to feel private enough. We set up chairs and hammocks on the water's edge. Also, we were able to launch our kayaks from our site. Ron was a wonderful camp host with a great sense of humor. Campgrounds and bathrooms were clean and all campers respectful. We spent most of the day on the lake or in the hammocks watching the fish jump. We did a night paddle and the stars were amazing. Hardly any mosquitoes when we used our citronella bracelets.
Jul 25, 2022 · Travis TimmermanAbsolutely a hidden jewel in the Rocky mountains.
May 26, 2025 · AmberM. BurnettAs Peaceful as a campsite gets! Pure perfection tucked in the mountains. It was clean, well maintained, well loved, & I totally understand why it’s fully reserved! We booked one night about 3 weeks ago and were lucky with site 17 having one night available during our trip. Roads up to the campsite for about .5 miles had a small amount of wash out, but overall the roads are very well maintained. The lake is serene and the views are priceless.
