We had one of the worst experiences we've ever had at an RV park here. The location itself might be okay, but the customer service was absolutely unacceptable.From the moment we arrived, the staff was rude, unhelpful, and clearly uninterested in making anyone feel welcome. When we had questions about our site or the amenities, we were met with eye rolls, short answers, or were flat-out ignored. One staff member even raised their voice when we asked for help resolving an issue with our electrical hookup — which turned out to be their fault.The office hours were inconsistent, and trying to get someone to answer the phone or respond to emails was next to impossible. It felt like we were bothering them just by being there. Not to mention, several other guests we spoke to had similar complaints, so it wasn't just us.We travel often and have stayed at many RV parks — this one ranks at the bottom due to the unprofessional and downright hostile attitude of the staff. Do yourself a favor and camp literally anywhere else.

I would not recommend this RV park to anyone. The customer service was awful from the start. The staff was rude, unprofessional, and completely unhelpful. When we had a problem with our site, no one was available to assist us, and when we finally got someone on the phone, they acted like we were inconveniencing them.There was zero communication, and any attempt to ask questions or get basic help was met with attitude. It’s clear they don’t care about their guests or making anyone feel welcome.The location might be okay, but that doesn’t make up for how poorly we were treated. Save yourself the frustration — spend your money somewhere that actually values customers.

Love, love, love this campground. So much so that we now have a seasonal site. Very well maintained, great response from management, and it’s quiet & peaceful.

Very unfriendly staff they certainly do not make you feel welcome. This has always been a great camping spot for us but this year they have made us feel very unwelcome we will not be back .we did full hook up and stayed 3 nights.i work hard all year we all do and to have a weekend spoiled because we have little grandkids that accidentally kicked a soccer ball under someones camper at 9 pm which we clearly took care of we sent them in the camper but became a big deal with management then told my husband this has been a circus with us remind you we don’t drink we are in our 50 and have small grandkids that came with us lolol how bad could we really have been . If your looking for family time at a campground and have fun with them i really think you should go to another camp ground. BYRON has a nice one also. Much more welcoming ❤️❤️

We were seasonal campers at Northwoods for 2 seasons and found that there were many pros & cons to this property. Generally speaking the property is well maintained with the exception of the rec hall and bathrooms by the ponds which need much love. We were located down by the river and absolutely loved it down there (minus the flooding threats but never had to move our camper, others did). We all loved hanging out in the river….you can normally walk across the river, sit your chair in the water, float down in a tube etc. We met some nice people, especially down by the river sites. The location was always very convenient for our Wisconsin family and friends to visit and only about an hour drive for us from the Western Suburbs. I hate to throw in the cons but I feel it’s necessary in order to give an honest review. The rates that they charge are in no way in line with what is offered. Food trucks are considered an “activity”? I guess if all you do is eat. Kids activities (when there is actually one planned) severely lack in organization, creativity or planning. Most fun events at the campground are run by the campers themselves and are always great! As a seasonal you have access to a beautiful clubhouse that is rarely used, never for any sort of campground organized functions. The 2 times we tried to use it last season we were sharing it with the “security guard”, who is also the managers husband, who was lounging on the couch watching a movie. Throughout the season many seasonal campers pull their campers off site to travel. We had already made the decision to move to a new location for the next season but there was still 3 weeks left in the season (which we had paid for). We pulled our items off the site when we had the availability one weekend to do so and pulled our camper for a trip we had planned. We had planned on coming out one last weekend to camp with our seasonal friends one last time only to find out the manager had rented out our seasonal site to overnight campers! Anyway, we will miss our friends but good riddance! After being at our new place for only a couple months I see how much we were missing out on by being at Northwoods. It’s very quiet and peaceful, I would say more geared towards retirees, not so much young families in my opinion.
