I took a trip to go hike Triple Falls in DuPont State Forest, North Carolina. As soon as Huckleberry (my dog) and I crossed the NC state border, my car had to be towed and worked on. This took 6 Hours and hundreds of dollars. Needless to say that wasn't in the itinerary. We trudged on with the trip... Being as we had already driven so far from home ( Virginia ). At the end of the hike I was very tired and called camp sites close to the park. No luck... Then while we were still hiking to the car, I got a call. Katlyn told me the cabin was available! When we arrived and I couldn't believe it. The perfect little A- FRAME cabin!! You walk up a little trail, and you hear a spring trickling. There was a fire pit, hammock, deck, ferns everywhere just tucked away in the woods. You feel like a forest fairy. This place was the most SPECIAL SPOT I've stayed at. The cabin was equipped with everything you need, from bug spray, cooking equipment, tooth brush, flash lights, heater .... The list goes on. Such careful attention to detail. It was the perfect end to the trip ♥️ I will remember my stay there for a lifetime.
