However, some feedback also points to areas where campers might need to be prepared, such as a limited selection in the camp store, and potential issues with water temperature in showers and, notably, a significant mosquito presence during certain times. One reviewer shared, "Great location for proximity to Niagra Falls if all you want is a basic spot to sleep. Self contained would be better. The bathroom was cold and the shower water never got more than luke warm. My biggest issue is the mosquitoes. Clouds of them. Not sure i have ever seen so many and we travel and camp a lot. Very quiet when I was there. Older facility but very well maintained. Showers were good and bathrooms clean. Camp store doesn't have much so come with what you need.

Jun 03, 2025 · Mara MurphyBooked for July 4th. 3 months away. Made incorrect reservation and instead of refunding me everything the keep the entire deposit due to it being a holiday. I understand that its a Holiday weekend but its three months out. I shouldn't be charged the complete deposit.Shame as it puts a nasty taste in my mouth as wanting to come stay again.
Apr 14, 2025 · Eric MooreI have stayed at this location a few times now as a camper with a travel trailer. Please be aware, this is a KOA Journey and there are a lot fewer amenities. This is a simple campground meant for short stays. The campground is decent. The bugs here are horrendous after dusk. Bathrooms could use some love. The camping kitchen/wash station leaks all over the ground and did the same when I stayed here 2 years ago.My reasoning for the two star rating is due to the neglect of the camping cabins. Planned a vacation here with my parents to see the falls and they were placed in cabin K01. The cabin was loaded with mice, mice feces, and bedbugs. You could instantly smell it upon walking in. It was completely unsanitary and not on par of other KOA cabins I've seen. Luckily, they refunded my parents, but it was enough to ruin their weekend and they returned home.I highly advise not staying in the cabins for this matter, but YMMV.Once again this is a simple campground, so it's best to keep your expectations low.
Jul 21, 2024 · Anthony StanzeskiRecently stayed four nights on our trip to visit Niagara Falls. Simple and honest campground. Friendly staff, laundry facilities were nice and clean. We had a pull threw site. A little tight but we got lucky and did not have a neighbor on our camp side the entire time. There was an unused row of tent sites behind us that we were allowed to park the truck on which was nice. This campground was half the cost of the Grand Island KOA. I know its a simpler campground but we did not need all the amenities so to us it was a great value. Perfect location to explore the area. We especially liked Lewiston, the downtown/ riverfront area was excellent, many nice shops an restaurants. Also convenient to Niagara Falls and crossing to Niagara on the Lake. Will definitely stay here again on our next trip to the area.
