Newberry / I-26 / Sumter NF KOA Journey Reviews
Our first stay here and we were very happy with it. Staff is friendly and accommodating. You can definitely tell they spend a lot of time keeping up the park! Well maintained, exceptionally clean, dog park had balls and frisbees and well kept. Nice swimming pool, game areas, camp store stocked well too. Plenty of fun activities for kids and adults such as cookouts, scavenger hunts, pool parties and so much more! Will definitely stay again when we are traveling this way again!
Jun 17, 2025 · Vicki Jean WilsonHad a great time with my family when camping here at the Kinards KOA. The staff was excellent, the grounds were clean and well maintained. The gnome scavenger hunt was fun but challenging (office will give you hints). The kids loved the gem mining and we had a blast just walking around and enjoying the shade and weather. One of the most dog friendly parks! Will be back when the pool opens and again when the pond has fish. Already looking forward to it!

Jun 18, 2025 · Bobbie JensenThis was our 2nd time staying at this very cute and super friendly koa rv park. The staff here is incredibly nice and helpful. The salt water pool is nice and soooo relaxing. You can tell the very nice folks that work here care so much about the place. They are constantly working on the garden and camping areas. The camping store offers pizza, wine, gifts, firewood, and so much more to purchase at a good price. For us, this was first a one night stop over, but this last time, we stayed longer because it just felt so comfortable here. When we are back in the Newberry area, we will make sure we stay here again. We want to give a huge THANK YOU to the Wonder staff we had the privilege to meet and talk with !!! You guys have a little piece of paradise to offer travelers 😀
Jun 06, 2025 · Summer TimeSusie was wonderful at check-in but I was not aware of a $75 charge that would be charged to my card after I checked out yesterday. I had three dogs and I was not told that there’s an additional $25 a day for your dogs, I would’ve liked to know that upfront when I checked in and paid everything in full Bring your own food because this closest supermarket is a minimum of 15 minutes away. There’s a lot of noise from Highway 26 and the road along the KOA thankful for the TV otherwise not much to do to keep you busy. The road coming into the campground is very scary as for what you will see when you’re pulling in and a home across the street made me feel a little uneasy. Make sure you keep everything locked up. It’s a very depressed area before you enter the campgrounds. same goes to where the supermarket is!! campgrounds are very clean. This is the closest I could find to my destination that’s why we chose this And credit to a gentleman named Ricky that works there I watched him diligently clean everything in the site
