Mystic Valley Campground Reviews
What a little treasure! Overnight stop on the way to Nova Scotia that just happened to be on the 4th of July. Got a real taste of the local flare. Campground hosted a pot luck and neighbor across the street put on annual fireworks extravaganza! Campground itself is lovely and well maintained, owned by a lovely local.
Jul 05, 2024 · rebecca LorenzenWe tent camped here in August and had a great experience! The tent sites are tucked away in their own little corner of the campground near a small pond. Even though the website lists five of these sites, there only seem to be three spots with a picnic table and fire ring, but we were the only ones in this area, so we had the puck of wherever we wanted to camp. It seems like the campground is not too frequented by tent campers, so it seems like there's a good chance that you'll have the whole section of the campground to yourself. There's a camp store stocked with all the necessities you might need, and the woman at the counter was very nice.
Aug 07, 2022 · Sam ShirleyThis place is wonderful. It has a negative past history but the new owners are fabulous. The grounds are clear. The picnic tables and rings are a perfect distance from the camp pads. Cute store and new community area are a huge plus. The owners are very hands on. If there are issues, they let you know and how long it will take to fix it. Wonderful small campground. So glad I found this little gem!
May 08, 2024 · S MI was very disappointed with this facility – the washrooms were extremely dirty, and the showers were unusable because they were filthy. The outside dishwashing sink was sticky and dirty from grease and had likely not been cleaned in a very long time. Then to top it off, at 10:20 PM the campground owner awakens me by knocking on my car windows and accuses me of not having a reservation – – after she had checked me in herself, six hours before. I had even told her that I was going to likely sleep in my SUV instead of my tent (it was supposed to rain during the night, and I didn’t want to pack up in the rain in the morning.) a very jarring wake up for a woman camping solo! I think I heard her mutter “oops I’m sorry” as she hurriedly walked away… not a great experience for $36.
Oct 05, 2024 · Denise HelinThe owner was so welcoming! She’s put so much into the campground and it shows. When I mentioned we’d be camping around Maine, she gave us a magazine highlighting all areas of Maine and what to do in each part. It was a great help in planning some of our trip. The bathrooms and showers were clean. Each picnic table has an outdoor rug underneath, which was a cute touch. I’ll come again if I’m ever in the area.
