Mt. Lassen / Shingletown KOA Holiday Reviews
My husband and I tent camped here for a couple of nights and loved it. The staff were SUPER friendly, BIG shout out to Patti! She introduced me to their fancy coffee machine and went above and beyond by showing me step by step how to for making a hot chocolate cappuccino. My husband and I also loved the pancake/sausage breakfast they had for all the campers on a Saturday morning. I also loved how they had a fun family movie night for all the kids on a Friday night. The washer/dryer was quick and dried our clothes well, the showers were clean and had plenty of water pressure and hot water, and our tent site had plenty of shade. The first night here there was a camper playing loud music and then he woke my husband and I up at 1 am with hollering out something to where all the dogs in the area started barking but the second night was much more peaceful. My husband and I would definitely stay here again! We highly recommend this KOA and their firewood worked SO well despite it not being real wood. Thank you Lassen/Shingletown KOA crew for being awesome! :-)
Jun 29, 2025 · Kayla McFarlandWe loved our stay! We stayed here for 5 days. The pool wasn’t open but the weather wasn’t warm enough most of our stay anyway. The grounds were super clean and super well maintained. There was a ton of outdoor games and a fun park for the kids. A huge shout out to Patti in the office! She was always so warm and welcoming. She went over and beyond to have the best customer service. She was great! We will be back!
May 27, 2025 · Momma CassFirst off we really enjoyed our stay here. The staff was lovely and everything was clean and well kept.We rented a deluxe cabin (L4) a couple weekends before Memorial Day weekend. The pool was not open so I can’t comment on that. We had two kids (8 and 9), two adults and a dog. The cabin was perfect for our needs, we bbq both nights and ate at the iconic table outside because the weather was great and the kitchen was stocked with what you would expect in a place like this. The kids had fun playing all the games, at the playground and on the swings. The pup enjoyed the dog park.I would have liked to see healthy options in the store rather than the soda, candy and other drinks loaded with sugar. Also, our bed squeaked (very loudly) every time one of us moved, keeping both of us up all night so our sleep wasn’t the greatest. Please replace the bed/ boxspring in this unit!Other than those two issues we truly enjoyed our stay and will likely be back. Just not in this unit until they replace that bed. 😆
May 18, 2025 · Amanda GavinWe enjoyed the pancake breakfast very much. I mainly wanted to give a shoutout to Cowboy Bill. I’ve been here for 4 days and I’ve seen this man all over the place cleaning up, outside and in the Laundry room. He makes this place look pristine. And he is always friendly and is the first to say hello.
Jun 23, 2025 · Larry PratkaFirst trip for 2025 season! Owners and their daughter are over the top amazing! They were so sweet to my little kids! We love to stay in cabins and tent camp. Excited to be back for their fall Festival.
