I had no idea there was a restaurant in this location because only the campground shows up when you're doing a restaurant search on Google for places to eat in the mountains! We needed a quick bite and were looking for some place to stop between Murrayville and Blairsville. There just aren't a lot of options on 19.We cruised around a bend in the road and saw JR's Roadkill Barbecue and Ribs. With the name, I honestly wasn't expecting anything spectacular. Don't let the name fool you folks, we had an AMAZING pulled pork sandwich. It was humongous and delicious and tasted like they pulled the meat right off a smoker! If it was roadkill, I'd eat it again tomorrow. Their onion rings are deliciously breaded and fried and my sweet potato fries were also fresh and crispy. We just grabbed our food to-go because we had a appointment at a spa near Blairsville, so we ran in and out, but staff were incredibly welcoming, it just took a few minutes for our lunch to be made and it was really fun to look at the multitude of weird and wonderful objects in their general store as we waited. The restaurant and bar look like a lot of fun as well! Apparently there's karaoke on the weekends and I'm all about some karaoke! I want to come back just to try it out! - Lisa E. (Peachy in Georgia)
