★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1This is a really nice campground with only a few things that kept it from being a 5-star.It appears to be fairly new compared to so many sites we stay at. This site is on the water with a gorgeous view. Bathrooms are super nice. There are 10 restrooms next to the host site and each one has its own large shower with hot water and good pressure! There are also two bathrooms on each end of the camp. Cute cabins on the water as well. We came in our camper van.The sites have nice level concrete pads with good space between the sites. There is water and electric at each site and a picnic table. The center row pull through have covered picnic tables. There are a couple trees but other than that it is completely exposed in all other sites. It is very quiet at this site which we really appreciated as it is not close to any busy roads. Many people bring their boats or kayaks here. It was very windy so we took a spot off the water .We are on a 2-month trip and just stopped here without a reservation . We weren’t sure what to expect or what was available. It was around 6:15pm so no one was manning the state park entrance . There is a note to pay ahead of time and it provides the fees ($28 full hook ups, $25 for water and electric). We went ahead and paid for full hookups and put the cash in the envelope. There are only 4 full hook up sites and they were all taken. Not a big issue but the pay station is about a mile from the campsite so we didn’t want to go look them go back as we were hungry and tired. We weren’t even sure if any sites were available but we took the risk. There were several open sites so we were fine. There is a dump station close to the campground so we dumped on the way out as we were only there for the night.. There is potable and non-potable water at the dump station.
May 19 · Terri GriffinGreat little campground. Water and power hook ups, they have a sewage dump right outside of the campground. Clean showers, and campground itself. The flies were a bit of a problem, would rather them than mosquitos though . Not a long walk down to the lake, great location!
September 07 · Steve WrightMe and my entire family came here for our family reunion. It was a great experience, and very well kept area. The reservoir was huge with many hiking, boating, and outdoor activities. They even have aquatic trampolines for rent which was is something I've never seen! Although we did come prepared to tent camping, it was much too windy. There was however, plenty of space to tent camp. The RV areas seemed very nice as well, and the staff/rangers seemed very attentive at cleaning the shower areas/bathrooms. There were horshoe areas, volleyball, and soccer nets available. All in all I would definitely come back, it was a gorgeous campground!
August 01 · Jeremy GriggsNice parking, clean showers and bathrooms, best in the park. Great view of the lake. Not as crowded as the beach campground, and we didn't have nearly as much broken stuff from the wind as we do at the beach campground.
July 17 · Stephanie BlackThis is a beautiful place with great facilities. The only issue is the wind can be bad at times.
