Mountain Pines Campground, with its extensive facilities and large seasonal community, structures its pricing to cater to both short-term and long-term stays. While specific, flash "promotions" may not be widely advertised, their rates and offerings inherently provide value, particularly for extended visits. Pennsylvanians looking to stay should be aware of these common structures:
Seasonal Rates: A significant portion of Mountain Pines is dedicated to seasonal campers. Inquire directly for their most current seasonal rates, which typically offer the best value for long-term stays from April 15th to October 31st. These often include winter storage for renewed seasonal campers.
Tiered Daily/Weekly/Monthly Rates: For "transient" campers, rates vary by season (Early Season, Pre-Summer/Pre-Fall, Summer Season, Fall Season) and duration (daily, weekly, 2-week, 4-week). Longer stays generally provide a lower per-night cost.
Holiday Surcharges: Expect higher rates for major holiday weekends (e.g., Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day) and specific themed weekends like Halloween, which often require a minimum stay.
Included Activities: Many of the "Themed Weekends with Scheduled Activities" and access to amenities like the pools, mini-golf, and various sports courts are included in the camping fees, providing significant value without extra charges for many activities.
Visitor Passes: Daily or overnight visitor passes are available for guests of registered campers (typically $10 per person), allowing friends and family to join in the fun.

Mountain Pines Campground Reviews
We rented one of what they called a 'transient' campsite in June 2024. This campground is huge, with hundreds of full-time permanent setups. Some appear to be lived in year around. We really liked the gazebo, pavilion, and fire pit area. There was a nice stream a short distance away with a great walking trail next to it. We didn't use the pool, but it was very large. Our grass site was fairly level, but deeply rutted from a previous camper when the site was wet. We tripped several times on them and had to work to find spots to place our table and chairs. The site behind us was very wet and the campground folks brought pieces of plywood to cover the soggy ground. The campground clearly cares nothing to smooth out the ruts. The only men's bathroom was probably the worst that I have seen all across the country. It was small with only a couple of toilets and two tiny showers with no bench and no hooks for hanging clothes or towel in the shower stall. There were some hooks outside the shower stall, but they were on the far wall in full view of anyone else using the bathroom. If you want ANY privacy at all, shower someplace else. Terrible.
May 30, 2025 · Chandler YarnallThis place is awesome. Biggest outdoor pool I've ever seen. People are easy to get along with. Employees are friendly and welcoming.
Mar 26, 2025 · Joshua PughWe have been camping at Mountain Pines for mare than 15 years now. The past 10, we have been seasonal and absolutely love our place. The camp and it's staff are amazing. They all work very hard and make us feel as though are part of an amazing family. Lisa is the glue that holds so much of the camp together. It is because of her that we landed there in the first place. Our fellow neighbors and camp family make it the best place to be every weekend. We love you!!!
Aug 26, 2024 · AnonymousThis is the best campground I’ve been to! It’s so fun and everyone is so friendly! I 100% recommend to visit this summer
Mar 06, 2025 · Julia PfaffleWe stay here every year with our grand children and it a good time had by all. This year my wife and I planned on going alone. 2 days before we were to leave we had a problem with our camper. They switched our reservation to a cabin for the week with no problem. The cabins are great very comfortable and conveniently located. Will definitely go back.
