- Camper Appreciation Day: One reviewer mentioned arriving on "camper appreciation day" and receiving "free food awesome." While this might be a specific, occasional event, it indicates the park's willingness to host special community events. It's advisable to check the park's event calendar or social media for any such planned days.
Campsite reservations are typically made via the Ohio State Parks reservation system, either online or by phone. Pricing is generally based on the type of site (electric/non-electric) and the season. Mosquito Lake State Park Campground Reviews
We decided to take a go at winter camping, we stayed at Mosquito Lake the last weekend in November. It was cold but beautiful and spot 218 did not disappoint! We were one of a very small handful of campers so we just about had the park to ourselves. Enjoyed a fire near the water and explored the park a little. All in all, beautiful park!
May 13, 2025 · Amanda McdonaldEnded our camping season Two years in a row here. November camping in the wider, 30 amp area is amazing. Four of us were there. We eachHad our own road. The flush toilets are nice! Lots of hunting and fishing were going on while we were there. Highly recommend!
Nov 15, 2024 · Deb ThompsonThis is a a beautiful state park! We spent a weekend camping here and boating on the lake and thoroughly enjoyed it! The campground is clean and is a very beautiful setting. The rain washed out the scheduled ranger programs, so we were surprised one morning by two park employees bringing an owl to our campsite to show the children
Aug 25, 2024 · Kevin HorstWe had a great spot! Dogs loved it. We rented a pontoon for the weekend. People were great.Only downside or surprise .... I wasn't ready for an outhouse (latrine) to be my closest bathroom. Yuck! I just had to walk much further. A latrine is a deal breaker for me. I will book closer to a real bathroom next time. Ah, but our spot was so nice. Wish the outhouses could be changed. I am much more of a glamper than a camper. Loved this campground! The owls were cool! Thanks!
Sep 21, 2024 · Andrea TajgiszerBeautiful park! We had the almost perfect spot at site 219. It was right on the water, and it was very level. Disadvantages of that spot is that it’s a bit of a walk to the bathrooms (pit toilets, except at the wash house), and that it’s not shaded, so we woke up from feeling the sun beating on the tent. It was cool when we were there, so we were fine with the no shade aspect. The third disadvantage is that the sites next to us were occupied and very close to us. Kind of felt like I had strangers in my dining room. The view, however, was much nicer than other sites that were on the water, so it was worth the trade off to us.
