Money Creek Campground

Stevens Pass Hwy, Skykomish, WA 98288, USA

4.0
The campground is nice. The RR crossing is NOT. It is campground adjacent and a regular occurrence. It is very loud and scared my dog half to death. Scared me as well a few times it was so loud. They blow like they are coming into NYC, not a tiny country road. I even pitched my tent closer to the river than the crossing. Bring a stove, the fire rings are too high walled to cook well. Not at all worth what you pay. Should be $10 not $50 - Janet Wright

Money Creek Campground is exceptionally suitable for Washington locals for several compelling reasons. Its strategic location on Stevens Pass Highway makes it easily accessible from many of the state's population centers, minimizing travel time and maximizing outdoor enjoyment. For those who cherish the quintessential Pacific Northwest experience, the campground delivers with its lush riverside setting and towering trees. The unique offering of raised tent platforms is a significant advantage, particularly for campers who prioritize comfort and a flat, dry sleeping area, a feature not commonly found in all campgrounds.

The consistent natural symphony of the Money Creek river provides an immersive and tranquil environment, allowing visitors to truly disconnect from the urban grind. While the occasional train noise is a factor to consider, as highlighted by some reviewers, the overall peacefulness and the natural beauty tend to overshadow this minor inconvenience for many. The availability of clean river access, even if some sections are too swift for swimming directly, combined with a nearby swimming hole, offers refreshing options for water-based activities. For solo female campers, as one review noted, and indeed for anyone seeking a welcoming and secure environment after a less-than-ideal experience elsewhere, Money Creek Campground appears to be a comforting and reliable choice. It represents a fantastic opportunity for Washington residents to enjoy the stunning natural landscapes and serene atmosphere that define the state's outdoor recreational offerings, making it an excellent choice for a quick escape or a planned wilderness adventure.
