Mohican Reservation Campgrounds and Canoeing, as a large and active recreational destination in Ohio, frequently offers various packages and deals, especially around its primary activities and peak seasons. While specific, constantly updated "promotions" might not be universally listed, here's what Ohio locals can typically expect or inquire about:
- River Trip Packages: As a significant canoe livery, they often offer bundled deals for river trips (canoeing, kayaking, rafting, tubing) which might include equipment rental and shuttle services at a combined rate. Pricing for river trips can vary between weekdays/non-holiday weekends and holiday weekends.
- Camping & Activity Bundles: It's common for large campgrounds like Mohican Reservation to offer discounts or package deals when combining a camping stay with participation in their Fun Center activities (like mini-golf, go-karts, or aerial ropes course, if part of the same operating entity as Mohican Adventures). Some sources indicate campers receive a discount on all Mohican Adventures activities.
- Group Rates: For larger groups, such as family reunions or scout troops, special group rates on both campsites and river trips are often available.
- Seasonal Rates: Like most campgrounds, rates for campsites and cabins may vary by season, with peak summer and holiday weekends typically being higher. Booking during off-peak times (spring or fall) could offer better value.
- Holiday Weekend Specifics: While often priced higher, holiday weekends at Mohican Reservation are promoted as having enhanced activities and entertainment, offering a different kind of "value" through a more lively experience. For instance, the "Mohican River Party" for 2025 is an advertised event.
- Longer Stay Discounts: While not always explicitly stated, inquiring about weekly or extended-stay rates can sometimes result in savings per night.

Mohican Reservation Campgrounds and Canoeing Reviews
First off. Let me start off by the positives. The campground is actually beautiful, and mostly clean. The sites for tents, are ok, ground very rough, not level at least where we were placed. Outhouses were atrocious, I don’t know whose idea it was to add a toilet seat over wood, but whatever. As much as they nickel and dime everything, although nice you would think the bathrooms would have at least warm shower water, there was NO hot water to wash hands and no tissue to dry hands. Now here’s the real issue we had. The owner is a very very very unprofessional and rude C U Next Tuesday, had a nice little run in with her at checkin. Maybe she was having alcohol withdrawals since that’s all she did the entire time was party? When I made my reservation I was asked how many people I would have on my two sites I booked, I said 8 and 4 tents. I said I wanted to pay in FULL over phone. Got the here after thinking we paid for everything and was charged an additional fee for having more than 2 people per site. Then I was referred to as “you people” why the owner because she lacked comprehension and listening. Overall was a good weekend, but won’t be back due to the owners ignorance.
Aug 11, 2024 · Amber FrymanThis is the best campground if you're looking for a FUN holiday weekend and camping experience. I have been coming to this campground for over 15 years and its the best one in the area (after trying a few others). Fun activities and common area. Holiday weekends are the best here. Great livery service, live music and typically other fun and relaxed campers - we end up making new friends each year. It is family friendly, however if you are a strict parent maybe camp in your backyard instead.
May 21, 2024 · Sara OhlerWe will never stay at this campground again. There are multiple campgrounds in the area and this is by far the worst. I recommend anywhere but here for your Mohican River trip. Camp areas are to small but what I found even more disturbing is the staff. The lady working at the check in is extremely rude for absolutely no reason. She has no people skills and needs to remove herself from that position. However I will say the cleaning crew are amazing. They did a wonderful job!
Jul 14, 2024 · Vicki ShasteenNot family friendly. We had 4 sites with 8 adults and 3 kids. The second day of our stay while we were on the river, large groups of motorcycle gangs had arrived on both sides of our sites. The problem wasn't that they were bikers but that they were doing whippets all night long, which if you're not aware is when someone inhales nitrous oxide to get high. And it's loud. This along with grown men urinating out in the open in front of my kids, jumping in and playing in the river in the middle of the night, constant traffic in and out all night, and them walking through our campsites after being asked not to many times. We attempted multiple calls to their after hours line and even walking to their "night staff" trailer and knocking on it and got nothing. The following morning we went to the front desk to report all of this and were met with an incredibly rude woman who treated us like we were in the wrong and said there was nothing they could do about it. They initially refused to refund us our last night as we were leaving a night early but she allowed it because she "didn't want to deal with us anymore".This place is cheaper than others for a reason. No rules enforced. They let whoever in and out all night long and could care less what anyone does on their property as long as they have made a buck.
Jun 24, 2024 · Liane RothLet me start by saying ,I was so looking forward to my 1 time a year vacation and sight seeing was amazing BUT I will never recommend this campground to anyone they advertise water on your site it is not bring a lot of hose you will need it ,you have to connect to water 3 sites away fron yours. The sites flood so bad that you have to slosh through ankle deep water. The staff there are very rude especially the older lady and the final kicker is you are in a spot comfortable that they put you in for almost a week until they get busy then expect you to move to squeeze more people in , This is the worst campground on Walley Rd , I would have left this campground if all of the other places where not completely full .
