Missouri Bluffs Park

18 Research Park Cir, St Charles, MO 63304, USA

4.0
Enjoyed a walk on a warm March day. This park has 342 acres in a narrow strip between Highway 64 and the Missouri Bluffs Country Club. The sound of the highway traffic is ever present. There is a spacious picnic shelter, camping for up to 100 campers, and pit toilets. When I visited, the water was turned off (winterized Nov 1 - April 1).There is a Low Ropes Course which requires a Special Use Permit. At the East end of the park when the road makes a sharp right turn and descends steeply, it is Missouri Conservation Department property although there is no signage. At the end of the road, there is a small parking area and a short trail which leads to the KATY Trail State Park which can be biked, hiked, or walked. At that point on the trail, the Weldon Springs Conservation Area is to the right. To the left a few hundred feet is the Monarch Levy Trail Connector which winds around and crosses over the Daniel Boone Bridge for Highway 64.The Berg Cemetery is within the park. It is well fenced with a sign by the Boone-Duden Historical Society.Hopefully, they will add an unpaved trail from the main parking lot to the KATY Trail. - Philip Newell
