★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Such a beautiful location between Teton Pass, and Victor Idaho. The Campground hosts are really helpful and friendly. Only four of the 16 total sites are reserved. The rest are first come first serve. No they are not free, but they are definitely reasonably priced. Get here early, especially on the weekend if you expect to get an RV/tent site. This place is right in the trees. Definitely a moose or a black bear or heaven forbid a grizzly bear could seriously walk right down the mountain through your Tent site. Such a beautiful place. All of the sites have very nice metal picnic tables, bare boxes to keep your stuff in as well as a really nice firing and barbecue stand. They really should be charging a lot more for what they are offering here.
July 20 · BartWe are AMAZED at how clean these vault toilet bathrooms are. Have you ever entered a pit toilet and thought "man, these smell nice!"? Neither have we, until yesterday!! Spotless! Not a bug, no dust, not even a cobweb! We had just a brief and pleasant interaction with the host, but she was gracious and friendly. Quiet, wooded, spacious, tidy spots, sturdy table/bear box/fire ring....and a few huckleberries! We will absolutely put this lovely little spot on our list for next time in the area. Thanks!!
July 22 · Cindy GrieweEasily one of the nicest, most well-maintained campgrounds we’ve been to in our five years of full-time RV life. Each spot is immaculate, as are the restrooms. And the campground hosts this season, Bob & Gail, were so welcoming and kind. Great nearby trails as well. We will definitely be back on our next trip to the Tetons!
September 19 · Alexis NascimentoTo start off this review the hosts were absolutely wonderful!!! My boyfriend and I booked our reservation at Mike Harris back in January, and unfortunately the Teton pass had collapsed right before our trip. We were taking the trek to and from GTNP every day but as we drove out from Massachusetts it was taking a toll on our vehicle. We ended up leaving our reservation early, but not without such hesitation!!! The hosts were amazing, I've camped in many different places and the hospitality was unmatched. They were super friendly, responsive, and informative on the areas. The campsites were decent sized, with bear lockers provided at each site. The bugs were abundant but nothing a good amount of DEET can't solve. They sell campfire wood at the host site! The vault toilets as the rest of the reviews state are extremely clean, cleaner than any other type of public restroom I've ever accessed. On day 2 we had experienced car troubles from our trip, and so we spent the entire day in Victor and Driggs, and while the premise of the trip was to visit the NPs the memories we made in the towns will follow us back to the east coast. Even after the pass opens up don't hesitate to check out the local spots and experience the friendly folks that make up these communities. We will definitely be making a trip back here with Mike Harris in mind! Do not hesitate to book!
July 22 · Tori AndersonGreat unplugged campground. There's a new and improved part that has about a dozen new, much larger and very level sites. The original 12 sites are still available and some are reservable or first come. The new area can handle big rigs and are all first come. I suggest just heading to the new area. There is NO dump station. Best to fill up your fresh water tank in Victor. The camp host, Bob and Gail keep the cleanest vault toilets in the USA. They have done a fantastic job of turning this campground from just a few spots in the woods into a very nice liget place to camp And you cannot beat the price of $17. Will definitely stay again.
