Michigan City Campground Reviews
This is a great little campground with easy access from I-80/I-90 (Indiana Toll Road) and I-94. Not far from the Indiana Dunes either. The property is well maintained and clean and the staff is friendly. They keep up with their landscaping which adds a nice touch. Every guest gets an access card for the gate so not just anyone can drive in. We stayed in site 43 in our 30 foot travel trailer with easy access to the camp store and pool. The site was level so we didn't need to hassle with levelers. The camp store is nice and the pool is clean, good sized, and appears to be heated which is a nice addition. Utility service was great and it appears every pedestal has an independent ground which is important for safety. Best sewer hookup I've ever had. The only complaint I heard about this place going in was the water was smelly. Big deal, its on well water. Bring a filter and you'll have no problems. Nice campground and we want to stay there again, only longer next time!
Jun 09, 2025 · Mark BThis was a great last minute find! The RV spaces seem to be hit and miss, some cramped/crowded, ours was great. The staff are friendly and helpful. The amenities are very well appointed and cared for. There are clearly many full time residents with a bit of sprawl. Pretty quiet overall and great walking areas for dogs. Very convenient to Michigan City and the State Park.
Jun 27, 2025 · Kimberly HenrieThis campground is absolutely beautiful, very clean and well kept, mostly seasonal campers but many short stay sites. Clean as can be, so impressed, and a dog park...thanks for that. This was a welcome overnight stop for us after a long drive from Canada, my only regret is it was only 1 night....oh, and ice cream...just can't stop the compliments...loved it here.
Jun 09, 2025 · Jamie JacksonSMELLY WATER! We paid $82 per night for a “premium FHU site” as no others were available. The sites were close together and not what I would consider “premium”. In any way. Our site was up near the noisy highway and far from all amenities. Worse still, the water is from a well and smelled badly of sulfur. We used our tank instead as I would NEVER shower or wash my hair in well water. Thankfully we had filled up our fresh tank prior. Another “premium” feature I expected for an $82 price tag was curbside trash pickup….nope! We stayed bc it was close to the IDNP and the state park was full. On the positive side, there is a dog park and WiFi (although the rules state not to stream videos or play games 🙄) but we have starlink so their WiFi wasn’t a plus for us.Would not return and thankful we only booked one night.
Jun 18, 2025 · SightseeRVThe campground was clean and exactly what we needed for a night stay on our trip. Staff were wonderful with phone reservation as well as check in and check out.Great access to the IDNP and wonderful restaurants in town. The hookups were quite far from the camper so definitely needed longer hose and slinky to park correctly in the spot.
