★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Awesome campground, clean restrooms, sites are spaced well apart and fairly level, most sites are for 24’ and smaller campers, there are maybe a few that could accommodate a larger one, and offer water and electric at some sites. Dump station was closed off so come in with empty tanks. We spent 2 nights here and really enjoyed our time. The weather was cold and windy so we didn’t get to do much hiking/exploring but still walked the campground in the evenings. Camp hosts were really nice and welcoming.
April 06 · David WilkinsA very nice and quite campground. We had spacious site 15 (dry camping, which was perfect). The views are outstanding. We met a couple of nice people up there. The restroom was amazingly clean. The campground is operated on a first-come-first-serve basis, so come early, it fills up quickly.
September 01 · Walter RNice campsites. Flush toilets. Garbage container, but looked very full after the weekend. Some spots with water and electric, but those tend to fill up first.Only a few campsites that can accommodate larger RVs/motorhomes. Gets crowded during the weekends, and I believe the previous reviews that talked about noise late. Quite a few family/friend gatherings during our 2 weekends here. So if you want calm and quiet I would maybe recommend some other campground in the area. The dump station is not in use/being repaired? We paid to dump at a private campground closer to Mimbres. Speaking of Mimbres, if you have a larger RV I would recommend driving the road through Mimbres up to the area, don’t take the road from Silver City. It’s very winding and steep at some places.
April 20 · Ellen F. HedmanGorgeous campground. Got great views and is very quiet at night. It’s got the best and cleanest restroom I have seen till now In campgrounds. The drive up to the campground is a little dangerous so be cautious. Very close to Lake Roberts and is accessible by a short walk.
June 13 · Nafis SazeedVery nice campground. There is no dump station, but it has sites with electricity & water. There is a sign at the check-in station that disclosed that the water is not safe for drinking.... some sites are dry campsites. Sadly, most of those are not big enough for our 33ft 5th wheel. Solar should be great in most sites. We had to rely on Starlink Satelite to reach the outside world: absolutely no cell signal. We were told by other campers that the nearest cell signal can be reached in Mimbres.Biggest advice: use Hwy 35 via Mimbres to get here with anything bigger than a van or maybe any rv no longer than 25 ft. We drove Hwy 15 to Silver City and back in our 22-foot full-size truck. It is stunning, having lived in CO for years it was not scary at all, but be aware that the locals drive that road like a race track, including around the many blind curves....To get to the lake takes a bit of a hike or a drive to the day use area. We met some fishermen who told us it was good fishing there....
