★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Freight line runs along one side and a highway not far from the other so I wouldn’t call this place tranquil. Many of the sights are VERY close to each other. Fire ring for site next to us was maybe 10 feet from the side of our camper. Dump station was not available upon our departure, probably not an infrequent occurrence judging by the weathered sign directing campers to dump stations in the area. The laundry facilities consisted of a single apartment grade washer dryer combo that apparently took over two hours according to the person waiting for their load. On the plus side the owner seemed nice and they had a perimeter trail great for waking dogs or children.
August 30 · Wayne CStayed 3 nights, the campground was really nice for being a newer campground. Seemed like the sites had a decent amount of space between each other. The train really isn’t bad if you’re in a camper. Overall it was a great experience and Matt is super helpful!
September 09 · Martin DeArcosfirst time coming for the state fair! it’s a good sized campground. very beautiful layout if you’re a tenter 😁 (real camping) one of my favorite things is that there is a train that goes right passed the campground. it’s loud but it’s so cool!! didn’t get to see the little friendly fox Todd, but i’ll have to come again to see! the tenters campground isn’t too big but it’s the perfect size for 2-3 people. the bathrooms are decent, the building that has the restrooms, at night they have purple lights, its so pretty. there’s a little trail behind the renters campground that’s neat. the staff are amazing and so welcoming. 10/10 would recommend.
July 21 · HaileyAnne DePoppeCamped there one night (# 45) in a very naturistic environment- save the trains that came through fairly often in the night. The owner is very nice and was very friendly and escorted us to our site. The facilities were a bit of a walk for showers but there are little outhouses closer. Very clean and well kept. He is also expanding some of the facilities so progress always it seems. Definitely recommend.
June 21 · C RWe arrived late at night while passing through town and the campground was an absolute blessing. The online reservation is really easy to use and the security cameras give an extra sense of security. Bathrooms were pretty clean overall and theres a couple laundry machines. If we weren't on a deadline we'd probably stay longer.
