Meeks Bay Campground Reviews
I found an awesome dog-friendly swimming spot in Tahoe that’s perfect if you’re trying to avoid the crowds. It’s peaceful, super relaxing, and a great place for both humans and pups to enjoy the water. We only came for the day and used the day-use area, which was super convenient. The walk from the parking lot to the beach is short and easy. Definitely planning to come back again—it’s a hidden gem!

Jun 23, 2025 · K FisherWe didn't camp but instead had a day trip. We went to the waterfront and got to get some sun and dipped into the lake. It was COLD. It felt good after we hiked for 3 hours prior. It's very refreshing. The bathroom huts were well maintained. Friendly staff at the entrance. Lots of geese walking around us. Overall, it was a beautiful little spot along the southern portion of Lake Taho.
Jun 29, 2025 · Rudiel SiguenzaThis place has a very bad bear problem. The bears are acclimated to people, walk freely during daylight and ambush your campsites all night starting at dusk. We left.
