Meadows Campground

Steamboat Springs, CO 80487, USA

4.0
Reminded us a lot of our favorite campground back home. Little piece of heaven. Saw humming birds in our campsite as soon as we arrived, a bull moose later in the evening during a lovely hike then watched bats fly above while we roasted marshmallows before bed. There is noise from the highway but didn't bother us. And mosquito were heavy but we were 110% come again if ever back in the area. - Amy Uthman

As with many mountain campgrounds in Colorado, it's always advisable to be prepared for varying road conditions, especially during the shoulder seasons. As of June 16, 2025, it was noted that Meadows Campground was still closed due to snow, indicating its elevation and the typical Colorado spring conditions. However, updates on its official opening are usually provided by the Forest Service, so checking their official channels before your trip is highly recommended.
