As a well-regarded Ohio State Park Campground, Maumee Bay offers a consistent and appealing rate structure, rather than frequent, fluctuating promotions. The value comes from the extensive amenities and pristine environment included with your stay.
Competitive State Park Rates: Ohio State Parks strive to keep camping affordable, offering different tiers of pricing based on the type of site and season.
Electric Campsites: During peak season (April 1 - October 31), electric sites are typically around $37 per night, reducing to about $33 during the off-peak season (November 1 - March 31).
Full Service Sites (Electric, Water, Sewer): These premium sites are typically around $49 per night in peak season, reducing to $33 in off-peak.
(Note: These are general Ohio State Park rates and may vary slightly for Maumee Bay. Always confirm exact pricing on the official reservation website.)
Inclusion of Extensive Amenities: The camping fee provides access to a vast array of facilities and activities within the state park, offering exceptional value. This includes access to the Lake Erie beach, inland lake, miles of paved trails, playgrounds, and clean showerhouses. Use of the Lodge's pool and other amenities may be separate or included with Lodge stays, but campers can still enjoy many public areas.
Year-Round Operation with Off-Peak Savings: The campground is "open year-round," with reduced rates during the off-peak season. Even though some showerhouses may be closed (with heated family restrooms available), this provides a cost-effective option for hardy campers looking to enjoy the park's winter beauty.
Early Booking Advantage: While not a discount, the ability to make reservations "up to six months in advance" via ReserveOhio.com is a significant benefit, especially for popular weekends and holidays. This ensures campers can secure their preferred site and enjoy the best of Maumee Bay.
Lodge and Cabin Specials: While separate from the campground, the adjacent Maumee Bay Lodge and Conference Center often has "Limited-Time Offers" and "Year-Round Offers" for their guest rooms and cabins, which could be an alternative for those seeking a different type of stay within the park grounds.
For the most accurate and up-to-date pricing and to make reservations, Ohio residents should visit the official Ohio State Parks reservation website (reserveohio.com) or contact the campground office directly.

Jun 12, 2025 · Thomas MilanichEnjoyed a weekend camping trip here last weekend. All the sites are nice and spacious and somewhat private, so I enjoyed that! The restrooms were clean as well. My family really enjoyed the paved trails and we rode our bicycles around and up to the beach to visit my sister and family who was staying at the lodge/lofts. Beautiful sunsets from behind resort on the water. Lots of wildlife as well. Would definitely return!
Jul 30, 2024 · Chelle SeaThis place is beautiful. It is very well maintained, clean, and spacious. The trails, walking paths, wildlife, and beach provide a perfect getaway. We stayed there on our way out to Maine and decided to book it in our return trip as well. We will be back when we can stay longer.
Aug 07, 2024 · Catherine WikertWe thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Maumee Bay State Park Campgrounds. Our site was a semi private lakeside site that offered a nice level paved pad with electrical hookups, a picnic table and fire ring. The grounds were laid out nicely and well maintained. The campgrounds had newer restroom and shower facilities that were nice and clean a camp store and clean out stations and there were many sites that offered full hookups. We realy enjoyed hiking the trail around the small lake from our campsite and the bike trails were wonderful as well.
Sep 03, 2023 · ray weithmanNice spacious sites. My feeling is the campground is geared to RV folks. Bathrooms are not convenient for tent people. Good walking trails both paved and grass, and fair amount of wildlife sightings.
