May 14, 2025 · M HStore and bar are great. Store is well stocked with current needs. Bar has great food and the pour strong.... the campground is nice spots are small and needs to be leaved our lower the sewage dump lines. Grass would be nice... great place to ebike and lots of wildlife to see.
Aug 13, 2024 · bobby fisherLopez Lake is a beautiful affordable campground in Central California with large campsites & beautiful views. Deer walk through campsites during the day & at night. Be aware you need to store your food properly or risk attracting bears. There are restrooms & showers at most sites & RV hook up sites. My problem was showers & bathrooms were not maintained, and some campers apoeared to take over more than their site & some people appeared to live there. It is beautiful & worth it but be careful where you camp.
Dec 29, 2023 · Akiko AshleyNice lake, great camp store with a full bar and restaurant/snack bar. Boat rentals available (from dinghy to pontoon), but very expensive. Interior roads need to be repaved badly, esp the campground loops. The nearest bathroom to the Bandtail loop we were in was horrifying and we refused to use it; it was worse than an an airplane toilet after Taco Bell. For toilets and showers we would drive to the newer shower & toilet building next to the camp store/marina. But even those were problematic; not clean and showers were challenging: one shower took all our money but wouldn't turn on. Another shower wouldn't take any money. Two other showers the lights were out of order and pitch dark. Another shower was out of order. Another shower never got hot at all. The shower I finally got to work only got lukewarm so it was not a pleasant experience. Spiders, gobs of hair, weird bugs, etc were in the shower with you and the toilet in the same room with you had lots of errant bodily fluids on that floor. Nice wildlife viewing; CA Scrub Jays, woodpeckers, deer. Zero OTA TV reception, zero T-Mobile reception, zero to 1 bar of Verizon reception (occasionally usable for Internet connection but frustrating). Bandtail #11 was decent and almost level. Road into it is uphill. POWER IS ONLY 20 AMPS (household style outlet) AND YOU WILL NEED A 20A to 30A or 50A ADAPTOR. Water, sewer, and 20A power were all provided at Bandtail loop.
