Longcreek Campground Inc Reviews
Review by my husband: Stayed here for 5 nights in mid October. The owners do indeed provide the most helpful and pleasant tent camping experience one could imagine. A road runs past the campground and it is audible and slightly visible from all sites. However, the traffic is slow, very light and dies down to zero between midnight and 6 AM. Otherwise this is the perfect place to stay. Location is near 4 or 5 outfitters serving the Chattooga River. Also nearby are numerous hiking trails many of which lead to waterfalls. The owner is happy to suggest destinations ranging from strenuous to laid back. In short, awesome customer service, in ways big and small, make this a campground to return to in the future.
Oct 19, 2013 · Jeanne GeringOwners were great and really attentive. Our stay was as a Scout Troop and tent camping. We arrived very late (after dark) due to accidents on the interstate and corresponding delays. NO problem. They got us to our tent sites and set us up perfectly for a great troop outing! Honestly never experienced such a “can do” attitude in recent memory. The boys had planned this outing months in advance, and the site set up go us through the delays and the weather better than expected.
Aug 13, 2013 · Curtis DorwartMy wife and I had the BEST experience at this campground. We arrived after dark and in a rain storm. We were assisted with setting up and provided extra light. The campground offers many amenities and has large, clean bathrooms. Located near many of the outfitters that serve the Chatooga River and a MUST stay if you are using WildWater Rafting (2 minute drive). When our whitewater trip was delayed a day, without any trouble we were able to stay another night. We were provided with a hand drawn map of several BEAUTIFUL waterfalls to visit and swim in (mountain water is always COLD) making our extra day a real blessing. Outstanding costumer service and would HIGHLY recommend staying here. Far exceeded our expectations and will come back. THANKS for EVERYTHING!!Mason and Sarah Herdon
Oct 04, 2016 · Mason HerndonI stayed here after finding that the state parks in this area want tent campers to set up in small side by side sights on rocks. Longcreek Campground turned out to be exactly what I was looking for, plus more. They were in the best location for my kayaking trip, friendly and helpful in every way. It is a long way away from Louisiana, but I will return. This was my best camping trip thus far, and this place was a big part of why it went so well!
Jun 01, 2016 · Joe PWe stayed here in November after a few rainy days, so everything was still wet & muddy. The campsites feature camp fire pits, picnic bench, & a rooftop. Campsite 2, 14, & 15 are right next to a flowing creek. The host, Mike, was accommodating & happy to help out. We payed $25 plus $5 for firewood. Overall a great camp spot! We did not use the restrooms so I cannot comment on that.
