Little Rock Campground Introduce
Little Rock Campground, located in Ririe, Idaho, offers a straightforward camping experience that is deeply connected to a well-known local attraction. Situated right next to Heise Hot Springs and the Heise Pizza Parlor, it's a spot that provides campers with a no-frills place to stay while having easy access to a range of activities. This campground is not a secluded, remote wilderness site, but rather a functional and accessible base camp for those visiting the popular Heise area. It is a part of the larger Heise Hot Springs Resort, which means while the campground itself may be simple, the nearby resort facilities add a great deal of convenience and entertainment value. The campsite is known for its on-site parking and is generally considered to be a good option for families with children due to its proximity to the hot pools, summer pools, and a variety of activities at the resort. However, it is also important for potential visitors to be aware of the campground's reputation for being crowded, especially during peak seasons, and the potential for noise due to its proximity to other campers and a nearby road. It caters to a crowd that values convenience and being close to a hub of activities rather than seeking out a solitary, quiet nature retreat. For many Idahoans, this campground is a practical choice for a weekend getaway that combines camping with a fun-filled day at a local resort.
Little Rock Campground is located at 5232 E Heise Rd, Ririe, ID 83443, USA. This address places it squarely in the heart of the Heise area, a popular recreational destination in southeastern Idaho. Ririe is a small town, but it is well-known for being a gateway to some of the region's best outdoor activities. The campground's location right on East Heise Road makes it very easy to find and access. The on-site parking ensures that visitors can conveniently park their vehicles at or near their campsite. The proximity to Heise Hot Springs means that the campground is just a short walk or drive away from the main resort area. This is a significant advantage for campers who want to spend their days enjoying the hot springs, swimming pools, ziplines, or the golf course. While the location provides excellent access to these attractions, it is also a consideration for those seeking a quiet environment, as the nearby road and the general hub of activity at Heise can be a source of noise. The campground is well-suited for both local residents of the Idaho Falls and Rexburg areas looking for a quick escape and for travelers passing through who want a convenient and activity-rich stop.

As a component of the larger Heise Hot Springs resort, Little Rock Campground can be contacted through the resort's main line. The address is 5232 E Heise Rd, Ririe, ID 83443, USA. The most reliable way to get information on rates, availability, or to make a reservation is to call the main resort number. While a separate number for just the Little Rock section is not typically available, the staff at the main resort office are the best source of information. It is highly recommended to call ahead, especially during peak season, to check on availability, as the campground is known to get crowded. This direct line of communication is essential for confirming site availability, understanding any specific rules, or addressing any concerns you might have before your arrival. While reviews suggest some issues with staff and site management, communicating directly can help clear up any potential confusion and ensure a smoother check-in process.
Little Rock Campground is a great choice for a specific type of camper, one who values accessibility and an abundance of nearby recreational activities over a solitary wilderness experience. What makes it worth choosing is its incredible location and the sheer convenience it offers. For families, the "good for kids" reputation is well-earned due to its immediate proximity to the resort's hot springs and other attractions, which can keep everyone entertained for hours. Unlike a remote campsite that requires extensive planning and supplies, Little Rock is a practical option for a spontaneous weekend trip or a base camp for exploring the beautiful Ririe area. The ability to park your vehicle right at your site is a simple but important convenience. While some reviews point to issues with crowding and noise, this is often a trade-off for being in a popular and well-trafficked area. The high density of campers and the shared facilities mean that a respectful and communal approach is key to a positive experience. The campground is an excellent value for those who are looking for a basic place to sleep while spending the majority of their time enjoying the many activities at Heise Hot Springs and the surrounding region. It is not about escaping civilization entirely, but rather about having a fun and easy camping experience with all the essentials close at hand. It serves a unique purpose in Idaho’s camping scene, bridging the gap between a rustic outdoor experience and a resort-style vacation.

Little Rock Campground Reviews
Camp host only cares about big rock next door, way over crowded and people up until 1am less than 2 feet from the side of your trailer. Lost my business also seems to be very expensive for what you get at all areas.
July 06 · Justin MyersGroundskeeper in a golf cart was very unprofessional and swore while conveying information which could have been a gentle reminder- he didn't need immediate action from our group, just was seemingly looking for a reason to reprimand. He came up to us late at night and the encounter left us off-put. the grass is nice but the road is loud right next to the camp spots.
June 09 · Brooklynn HammondThe campgrounds were clean, but you're crammed in like sardines. We moved our truck over so the people next to us could use their firepit. We had "neighbors" that partied every night. Quiet hours started at 10:30pm. They were blaring music, yelling, idling their side by sides, and singing as loud as their drunken selves could manage until 3am. The camp host did nothing about it, all the while not hesitating to tell everyone to not set out mats that would kill their grass. 🙄
May 30 · Julie HumpherysQuiet, clean, shady. The camp hosts were very friendly and nice. Only problem was the 3 dogs off leash by the rental cabins.
August 29 · Michael ShanksThere is a really fun Climbing rock if you have gear. Have to pay at the office for access.
