**Little Beaver State Park Campground** is conveniently located at **Little Beaver Campground Rd, Beaver, WV 25813, USA**. This prime location places it just a short distance from major interstates, making it highly accessible for West Virginia residents coming from various parts of the state. It is approximately 1.5 miles off I-64, near Exit 129A (eastbound) and Exit 129 (westbound) in Shady Spring.
While the park itself is easily reachable, it's worth noting that the road leading to the campground from I-64 has been described by some as having "sharp turns" and being "steep and curvy," so caution and a slower pace are advised, especially for larger RVs. However, campers have successfully navigated these roads with big rigs, noting that taking your time makes it manageable. Once inside the park, the access roads within the campground are wide, making it easy to maneuver even longer vehicles. Many sites are pull-through, which adds to the ease of setup, often eliminating the need to unhitch unless you have an exceptionally long rig. The proximity to Beckley (about 10 miles for groceries and retail) and the wider New River Gorge region enhances its appeal as a convenient basecamp for local adventures.

Little Beaver State Park Campground Reviews
This is a great small state park campground. It is clean and the showerhouse/restrooms are clean. We have a great shaded site and it is so quiet here. We would definitely like to stay here again. Nice Basecamp to do all the things in New River Gorge.
Jun 12, 2024 · Heather IsonVery well kept, wide access roads, spacious sites with tall pine trees. Quiet. Clean bathrooms in decent condition. Power and water supply was in good condition. We used this as a quick overnight stop headed west, many spots were pull through and made it very easy and the rest are deep enough you don’t need to unhitch unless you have a really long rig.
Jun 18, 2024 · Matthew MillerGreat place to pitch a tent and spend a nice weekend. Would have liked to see a more formal trail between loop 2 and the bathhouse , but appreciated the WiFi
May 20, 2025 · Tim HamelLove coming here to hike around the lake and other trails! Gorgeous and peaceful!
Jun 17, 2025 · Rebekah NealThere are multiple trails around, the one I walked was about a 4.5 miles loop and the trees and other scenery were beautiful. The playground/dog park seemed good from what I saw. Visitor center staff were kind and recommended a great place to eat. These were the BEST showers I have ever had at a campground; clean, HOT, tons of pressure, and a bench + hooks to put your stuff. Overall, it was a great place to stay.
