It was a good experience and a nice area. I think they are a little smaller than the west point but it is just getting started so they are still renovating. There is not a speed sign yet so 20mph to 30 is norm atm unforn. Look both ways!!! - Shirtless Bill

Linder point campground Introduce

For Iowans seeking an accessible and enjoyable outdoor escape near the vibrant city of Iowa City, Linder Point Campground offers a compelling choice. Nestled within the picturesque Coralville Lake Project, this campground provides a comfortable and convenient base for exploring the region's natural beauty and recreational opportunities. While it might be "smaller than West Overlook" and still undergoing some enhancements, as noted by recent visitors, Linder Point is clearly evolving into a well-appointed destination for both seasoned campers and those new to the joys of the outdoors.

Linder Point Campground is part of the larger Coralville Lake Dam Complex, a multi-use project managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. This ensures a commitment to maintaining the natural environment while providing facilities that enhance visitor experiences. The campground is situated amidst a heavily wooded forest of mixed hardwood species, creating a serene and shaded environment that is teeming with abundant wildlife. This natural setting offers a refreshing contrast to urban life, allowing campers to truly unwind and reconnect with nature.

Feedback from campers highlights the ongoing efforts to improve the campground, with renovations aimed at enhancing the overall experience. Despite being in a state of continuous improvement, Linder Point already offers a good experience with modern amenities, including flush restrooms and showers, and a mix of site types, from electric to full hookup options. The presence of park rangers who actively maintain the grounds by cleaning fire pits and mowing grass further ensures a pleasant and tidy environment, making Linder Point a promising and increasingly popular spot for local Iowans to enjoy a peaceful and engaging outdoor adventure.

Linder Point Campground is ideally situated at 2850 Prairie Du Chien Rd NE, Iowa City, IA 52240, USA.
