Lazy Days Campground Reviews
No experiences with rude employees, in fact everyone was very nice. They are strict on the 5mph but it gave us peace of mind when our kids were out riding bikes. Our site (62D) was very level and grassy. Barely any shade though! We did have a massive mud puddle on the road in front of the camper which the kids loved to ride their bikes through. Area we camped in was quiet with some seasonal sites and a few weekend stays. The amenities- they definitely need upgrades. The playground was rusty and seemed unsafe to play on. Bathrooms and showers were clean for the most part. We felt it was very rundown and would not stay there again.
Jun 29, 2025 · Harleigh CrippenWe originally booked for only a week(last minute booking) , and after reading the reviews debated cancelling our reservations all together. I’m so glad we didn’t! Our family ended up staying for 3 weeks from Sep-Oct. Sometimes it’s easy to forget that it’s way more likely for a person to leave a negative review than a positive- so sometimes you don’t know what’s posted out of frustration as a jab at the campsite and what’s truly just feedback regarding campground. So here’s my unbiased experience and opinion. We loved the weekend events for Fall including a Halloween party & Haunted trail that was so much fun for us and our pre teens. The park was clean and fun for our 4 year old. She especially loved the giant sand pit! There’s also a very large field attached to the park that our dog loved to explore. (Would be perfect to fence in for a dog park)The Beach area is small but has a nice area to swim (weather permitting- it was a bit cold during our visit). We mostly enjoyed the fishing docks! This campground is huge! So bikes came in handy for getting around. If you don’t have bikes- they rent them by the hour at the market/office. (You can also rent kayaks, canoes or paddle boats)The front market is great and super convenient! My kids loved stopping in for candy lolKudos to all of the staff we encountered during our 3 week stay. Everyone was polite. Always helpful. They were so accommodating when my husband needed to park his work truck on site. (We traveled here for his job). That to us was one of the biggest perks, as his work truck is a necessity. The 5mph is enforced. They tell you this upon arrival- and honestly it gave us so much peace of mind knowing no one would be speeding past our kids as they road their bike around the campground. Even if it was sometimes painful to roll at that speed 😂. Still not a big deal.Showers take quarters. One quarter = 10 mins of water. Bathrooms and shower houses were maintained. Nothing fancy- but definitely not filthy. We stayed in area D of the campground. We loved our spot. We saw herons fly over daily to land in the field by the park. It was quiet and clean. Close to laundry, shower houses, the park and a dumpster. Our spot was mostly level (all spots are grass not graveled or paved) but had like 5 fire pits dugout which made parking a 36ft camper slightly challenging as we were trying to dodge them. But we managed and then proceeded to fill in a couple of them to avoid tripping over them.Overall we loved it here at LazyDays. We will likely be in the area again next year and hope to get to visit again for some of their summer activities!Take these reviews with a grain of salt. Check it out for yourself - there’s no perspective like your own. Happy Camping 🏕️
Oct 21, 2024 · Amber FlanneryWe came in for work paid for the month and next month before the first month ended they said they wouldn't extend to the month of July which was non refundable. The staff is NOT friendly they will in fact pick on little kids take their shoes off them and say that child is racist when in fact very much not true he has a cousin that is mixed and multiple other colored friends as were from Lansing but they kicked us out. If you go there ask to drive around the WHOLE campground before you rent a sight it's NOT NICE The lake needs to be dredged out the seaweed gets caught around your legs and the honey wagan is always broke down and they don't pump your tanks like they say 2 times a week NOPE lucky to get 1 a week had to pull my camper off sight multiple times to pump ourself even tho it's included in the package
Jun 23, 2025 · april StroubFamily-friendly but very outdated facility with lots of seasonal camper making the park look a little bit rough. Probably good for a quick overnighter or just somewhere to stay for a few days. Not the most nature liked campground but staff and team were very nice.
Jun 23, 2025 · JamesIf I could give a 1/4 star that’s what it would be ! This place should be shut down by the government. People live there years round , NO water , NO sewer ,( honey wagon only) when they empty they don’t run water so you can clean out your system. BECAUSE there is no water anytime it’s cold out !Why I gave 1/4 star because they only had electric .I am all for being safe and was fine that the speed limit was only 5 MPH but that ONLY applies to campers NOT employees. The bathroom were disgusting. I paid $245 dollars for a week stay with my discounts and then they expect you to pay for the shower OMG .It was chilly and rainy the entire week we were there and they have absolutely nothing for you to do on site . And absolutely NO WIFI . This place is the biggest DIVE I have ever stayed at.I highly recommend stay FAR AWAY from this place .I have worked and stayed at several campgrounds and this by far is the worst !
