Landa RV and Campground Reviews
The location can't be beat. I walked to downtown New Braunfels for lunch. It was about half a mile, a very easy stroll. My site is on the river and this campground has river access. There is a great pavilion and steps down to the river. The office staff was very friendly and made an excellent lunch recommendation. The price for full hook up is quite reasonable. There is a locked gate and you get a pass to access the property when you register. The showers were clean and there's plenty of hot water. The laundry room was adequate, nothing fancy but I was able to catch up on laundry. It was pretty quiet except for the train. Now for some turn offs. There appear to be many full time residents here and several campsites are quite cluttered. I felt very safe here but it's a little off putting when you first pull in and see your neighbors using their campsite for storage of all manner of things.Although the train doesn't blow the whistle you definitely hear the them rumbling by. It didn't bother me but if you're a light sleeper that could be a problem. This campground has everything you need but it's definitely not a luxury RV resort.
Feb 15, 2025 · Michelle KennardCaptains log (Sunday April 27th, 2025) came for a day. We got in Saturday to leave SundayI give a 4 stars. Okay here we go.. Yes there is a train and it can be loud but no horn. It's only due to the stuff it's pulling. Also you will hear the nature owls and birds bout 4 am but that is okay cuz you are in their habitat. Yeah there may be people that actually live here and that's okay cuz this is not a party campsite area.. the campsites are right on the water so that is awesome cuz it's just a push and away you go on the comal. So this area is actually the beginning of the comal river ride. It took us about 3.5 hours to complete. Would try again in the summertime just to see the difference cuz we were the only ones here.
Apr 27, 2025 · Ralph DelgadoIt's pretty down by the water for tent camping, but make sure you get a spot far away from the train bridge. Four loud trains between 10PM and 8AM. Also the showers next to the office have sulfur smelling water. The other showers were great!
Apr 14, 2025 · Brendan SmithThis place has great potential. City really needs to invest some of the profits back into the business (streets, camp sites, signage, landscaping..etc. The staff was great. A little TLC would make it a 5 STAR.
Mar 06, 2025 · willie “Rudd” rutledgePost Apocalyptic RV ParkImagine, you are in a campground where a new RV hasn’t been made in 300 years. Road construction can’t be done anymore. WiFi is extinct. Scabby dogs roam the campground or howl from inside dark, seemingly abandoned trailers. Dog feces are everywhere. You almost expect to see zombies peaking through the tattered curtains of pre-holocaust campers. Scary? You bet! But you don’t have to wait until after SkyNet takes over, you can experience it now at the Landa RV Park in New Braunfels!! Seriously, horrible park with 99.9% full timers in rancid, rotting RVs. Roads are almost impassable. Stay away!!!
