January 25 · Tyler PedersonThis Lake was very serene. At night you can hear your neighbors but for the most part everyone is quiet after 10:00. You have a short downhill hike to get to the lake from your camp spot. There are areas that are rocky as well as beachfront like shoreline. They have canoes and paddle boats to rent as well as fishing poles. The little country store has just about everything you could possibly need. The water was fine and there were plenty of fish. The only negative is that there are no public showers or electricity. So bring your camp shower; most definitely a heater or extra blankets during the cold months.
April 24 · Heather ThomasQuiet but pretty full in the rv trailer loop. It's first come first serve, checkout at noon. Pit toilets, picnic tables, grill/fire pit, bear proof trash receptacles. Only 10hp motors allowed on lake. Store being open is a guessing game. Nice trail around the lake with some steep and eroded areas. Tent loop was pretty empty. Some are park in lot and walk in others park alongside.
April 28 · DCampsite is very clean and well maintained. Bathrooms are clean and well kept highly recommended. I would recommend getting there early as it does fill up. Cost is $20 for overnight stay on campground. They have BBQ pit/Fire pit. (Bring something to clean the grill with) & picnic table. Some spots have excellent shade & close to restrooms. Trash cans are all around too.
June 02 · Amanda GParker Canyon Lake is our favorite go to place, to get away from it all!! So peaceful and quiet specially during the weekdays! Although the forecast called for heavy rain, God granted us with only a few showers! It was such an amazing time. The water was excellent for swimming and kayaking!!
