Lakeview Campground

Ozawkie, KS 66070, USA

4.0
The park is pretty. Close to the water. The sites are on a hillside and that was hard to tel from the photos with online reservation. No signs for one way travel or not, would hate to meet a truck and trailer going the opposite direction. Some tight turns for a longer 5th wheel RV. Had water and 50 amp, but no sewer. The shower house is “jail house style” as my daughter said. Wide open stalls, some with two shower heads in one stall, no curtains. No privacy. Nice playground. Park was clean. - Sophia Swink

The campground's accessibility is generally very good, with well-maintained roads leading into and throughout Perry State Park. Visitors should be aware, as noted by one reviewer, that "The sites are on a hillside and that was hard to tell from the photos with online reservation," and there might be "Some tight turns for a longer 5th wheel RV." The proximity to Perry Lake is a significant advantage, with many sites offering direct views of the water and easy access to boat ramps and fishing areas. However, it's important to note, as a customer mentioned, that "no sewer" hookups are available directly at the sites in Lakeview Campground, though Perry State Park does have dump stations.
  • Tent Camping: Dedicated sites are available for traditional tent camping, offering a more rustic experience amidst the natural surroundings. Primitive camping is also allowed in some areas of the park.
  • Shower House and Restrooms: Facilities with showers and toilets are provided for camper use. However, a customer review describes the shower house as "jail house style" with "Wide open stalls, some with two shower heads in one stall, no curtains. No privacy." This is an important detail for prospective visitors to consider.

  • Sanitary Dump Stations: While individual sites may not have sewer hookups, Perry State Park provides multiple dump stations for RV waste disposal.
  • Seasonal Operation: While campsites may be available year-round, water services and shower houses are often seasonal, typically from April 1 to October 31.
  • On-site Reservations/Self-Pay: While some sites in Perry State Park can be reserved online via ReserveAmerica, some primitive areas are first-come, first-served. It's advisable to check reservation policies for specific Lakeview Campground sites.
