May 05, 2025 · tom hopkinsWe recently stayed at a lake Junaluska Campground where the staff was incredibly kind and helpful, which we greatly appreciated. However, the park itself was quite small and there was a lot of loud traffic, which impacted our overall experience. While it is close to the lake and offers access to a nice walking path, there is unfortunately no safe way to legally cross the road to get there. This made it challenging to fully enjoy the surrounding area. Overall, while the staff was wonderful, the park's location and traffic noise were significant drawbacks for us.
Jul 10, 2024 · Olivia ScioneauxThe campground hosts are so kind and helpful. However the company or people that own it advertise a walking trail. Well there is no walking trail. You have to cross a 4 lane highway with a ton of traffic. My oldest almost got hit by a speeding car the first day. ALL of the activities are across this highway. There are areas that have sidewalks but they are not continuous. I cannot believe they have not put in a crosswalk or some kind of bridge that goes over the road for foot traffic. There is no shuttle offered either. The bathrooms have very old plumbing. The bathroom closest to us was shut down one day because toilet water was back flooding. They did send maintenance the following day and reopened them however the water continued to back flood all over the floor. The camp hosts did their best to keep it clean. Tent campers were smoking in the bathroom which had me sick for one of the days we were there. It is a fairly quiet campground unless you are in a spot near the 4 lane. It also should be noted that it is a religious campground and many of there activities are Christian centered.
