Lake Compounce Campground check-in and store Reviews
Considering they should be prepared for memorial day weekend, the campground wasn't in good shape. Gravel roads hadn't been graded so lots of muddy potholes. The grass wasn't mowed. The sites are lightly graveled so muddy in rain. Really not impressed.
May 18, 2025 · GaleThis is a nice campground with an attached amusement park/water park attached. The sites are level but doesn’t have a sewer available. They do have a dump station.
Jun 08, 2024 · LINDA JENKINSON (Jersey Devil)This has the potential to be a nice campground. However, in the RV camping section the grass and weeds have not been cut for at least a month, perhaps for all summer. I saw campers sitting in foot tall weeds and grass in their sites. Given the concern about tick borne disease in Connecticut, I am frankly appalled. Also, the potholes in the roads in the campground are numerous and in need of a gravel fill in. I guess that management just doesn't care.
Aug 04, 2024 · Joyce BenderWe stopped here while traveling through the area. Near I-84. The staff were amazing and very friendly. The site was nice and level and hookups were good. Wish we had more time to enjoy the amusement park. Will definitely stop here again when in the area.
Jul 19, 2024 · Matthew D RiceExcellent staff, sites, and facilities. Decent price and close to the highway.
