Lafayette Place Campground

2 Franconia Notch State Park, Franconia, NH 03580, USA

4.0
Not nearly enough parking come April. An insane number of camp sites. Winter camping accessable!! They keep the parking lot plowed all winter, godspeed. Bring your own shovel to shovel out your campsite though. Self service paying. Great area too. 2 miles from the basin, and very close to the flume as well. The Lafayette mountain is one of the tallest in that area, and you get a fantastic view of cannon mountain from the campsites. Cannon mountain is also a great hike, and you can even take the tram down. - Jesse e (Jess)

Promotions or Special Offers

Lafayette Place Campground, being a facility operated within a New Hampshire State Park, typically follows a different model for pricing and "promotions" compared to private commercial campgrounds. State parks generally have set fees and policies that are consistent across their system, rather than offering frequent discounts or promotional packages.

Based on the provided reviews, there is no mention of specific promotions, discounts, or special offers (e.g., "buy one get one free," seasonal discounts, loyalty programs, etc.). The pricing for state park campgrounds is usually straightforward, based on site type, season, and residency (sometimes New Hampshire residents receive a slightly lower rate or easier booking access, though this is not specified here). The value of staying at Lafayette Place Campground is inherent in its prime location, direct access to natural attractions, and well-maintained state park facilities at a generally accessible public rate.

However, while not a "promotion," the availability for "Winter camping" with a plowed parking lot could be considered an added value for a certain niche of outdoor enthusiasts. This extended season provides opportunities when other campgrounds might be closed. Similarly, the "little activities or nature walks offered throughout the week" by rangers, while included in the stay, enhance the overall experience and could be seen as an added benefit without an extra charge.

For New Hampshire locals interested in booking, the best approach is to check the official New Hampshire State Parks website for Lafayette Place Campground. This would provide the most accurate and up-to-date information on:

  • Standard camping rates (per night/site).
  • Reservation policies and any booking windows.
  • Information regarding any specific state park passes that might offer overall savings for repeated visits to state facilities.
  • Details on any ranger-led programs or educational activities during your stay.

While traditional promotions may not be present, the consistent quality, unparalleled location, and valuable amenities offered at standard state park rates are often considered a significant draw for locals.
