While Kittatinny Valley Campsite, as part of a New Jersey State Park, might not frequently offer commercial "promotions" in the same way a private resort would, there are often pricing structures and seasonal opportunities that New Jersey residents should be aware of. The campsite typically has different rates for New Jersey residents ($42 per night for group sites) versus non-residents ($84 per night), which serves as an inherent "special offer" for local taxpayers, making it a more affordable option for those living in the state. Campsites generally require a minimum of a two-night stay for online reservations, and can be reserved for up to 14 consecutive nights.
It's always recommended to check the official New Jersey State Park Service website or contact the Kittatinny Valley State Park office directly for the most current information on availability, reservation policies, and any specific seasonal considerations. While overt discounts might not be prevalent, the value often comes from the park's natural amenities and the relatively lower cost compared to private campgrounds. For groups, the ability to reserve spacious sites that accommodate up to 21 people at a single rate offers significant value. Additionally, firewood is available for purchase directly at the park office, which, while not a "promotion," is a convenient service for campers. Keep an eye on the NJ State Parks website for any updates regarding fees or booking windows.

Furthermore, the campsite's clear policies, such as providing firewood for purchase on-site (preventing the spread of invasive species) and maintaining quiet hours, contribute to a well-managed and respectful camping environment. Very spacious campsites. Thats the only thing they have going for them. Tons of mosquitoes, it was unreal. No amount of candles and sprays helped. There's also no firewood in area. Have to bring or buy your own wood... Definitely not coming back
