Kanawha River Campground Reviews
The restaurant at the campground makes this a 5 star!! All homemade food and amazing prices. Great back patio to eat on and enjoy some tv or the river passing by. The sites are around a little fishing lake and on the river. Bathrooms and showers are very rustic but warm water running in the shower. 5 miles from Point Pleasant where we learned about the MothMan. Friendly and helpful staff all around. Would definitely come back again.
May 16, 2025 · Joy BurdzyGreat campground. Friendly residents. Good restaurant on the premises. Weekends get crazy and moonshine can be plentiful. Highly recommend if you are looking for a year-round spot to camp!
Jun 01, 2025 · Herbert ShanahanI have never stay at the campground but my husband's uncle owes a camp on the right side from the campground on the left side. But they have a bath house, place they cook with some good food and playset for kids, areas to ride your golf cart. Docks to drop the boats, kayaks or any water toy & docks to swim off of or fish. Now the sunsets are amazing cause you are right on the river, you will see huge boats pushing fuel and if you are on kayaks, even if a boat goes by, they do not care, you have to keep fighting the waves off them. Soon you get out of 1 here comes 2 more but best times are mornings or evenings. I love going to his uncles camp that's not in this campground, this campground is on left side after cross tracks and his camp is on right and the ones on right are private owed. Can't wait to go back up there for the Mothman Festival in Point Pleasant cause its just minutes away.
Aug 14, 2023 · RS GangIt's not bad. I'm from the south and I'm working a job up here in West Virginia and we are used to RV parks / resorts that have a lot of amenities including a bathhouse. When I got to West Virginia all the campgrounds is run down and I don't want to stay at any of them. I found this one and it is by far the most decent. It could use some work especially for the price. I normally stay in RV park at that price they have a gym swimming pool hot tubs theater room all kinds of stuff LOL. But I have no complaints I like it and I will stay at this part plus the owner is absolutely amazing very nice guy
Jun 15, 2025 · Kenny MecomGreat campground. Full hookup. Level gravel site. Mostly seasonal campers but everyone was friendly. We loved being on the lake by our campfire. Was very peaceful. If ever returning to this area, we wouldn’t hesitate to stay again! Stay in a 30’ TT.
