However, it is crucial to address a very serious concern raised in a recent customer review. A past visitor explicitly stated, "everything went down hill fast, lack of amenities, everything is out date despite the outrages pricing, and the upmost disrespect as RACISM is NOT corrected and TOLERATED. To add to this the racial comments and slurs were directed to my CHILD from an ADULT. When I tried to handle this situation, the owners enlightened me that I am not welcome back, which all in all is fine as I will not subject my child to racism! Truly unfortunate that in today’s society we still can’t bring our child to enjoy something so much as camping because of racial hatred. Absolutely unacceptable that such behavior is tolerated here!" This review points to a concerning alleged incident of racial discrimination and management's response to it. Prospective campers should take this serious feedback into account when considering a visit. In Michigan, like across the United States, discrimination based on race is unlawful, as outlined by civil rights acts such as the Elliott-Larsen Civil Rights Act. Campground operators generally have a responsibility to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for all guests, free from discriminatory behavior.

When I tried to handle this situation, the owners enlightened me that I am not welcome back, which all in all is fine as I will not subject my child to racism! May 31, 2024 · Christy DavisI've never been but they are first to come up in my area for tent camping. I'm a working female that is going to be homeless in days. I call and explain my situation. Response " Oh no we don't allow that" THEN DON'T ADVERTISE IT!!! I'm not homeless because I don't pay my bills. I'm homeless because the owner sold property. If someone, anyone reads this Thank You for taking the time. God Bless
May 28, 2022 · Meagan McLaughlinReally nice people. It is definitely not for overnights, though. The spaces are very small and extremely difficult to access. The hookups are only for water and electric, with a per-fee honey wagon twice a week. This campground is more for people who want to have a long-term trailer by the lake, 20 feet or less long, ideally. The owners will help you get set up, we hear. Nice folks. Also, you may need an electric adapter to plug 30 amps into a 20-amp outlet.
