Jellystone Park in Caledonia directly addresses this need by providing a wide array of activities and accommodations. It bridges the gap between a peaceful natural setting and an entertainment hub, ensuring that both relaxation and excitement are always within reach. However, with any popular family resort, managing expectations and ensuring clear communication are key. While the vast majority of visitors rave about the fun and facilities, some experiences highlight the importance of understanding specific park policies, especially regarding guest limits and tent setups. One past guest noted a discrepancy in communication regarding an additional person and tent policy, leading to an uncomfortable situation. This underscores that while Jellystone Park aims for universal family fun, prospective visitors should always confirm specific rules and charges related to their unique family size and equipment directly with the park when making reservations, particularly for larger groups or non-standard setups. Despite such isolated incidents, the overall consensus remains that Jellystone Park in Caledonia is a meticulously maintained campground "bursting with ownership pride" and dedication to providing a fantastic family vacation.

Jellystone Park Camp-Resort in Caledonia, WI Reviews
I visited this park the last weekend they were open in October of 2024. Had a such a wonderful time I invited three additional people to come and raved about what a nice time we had.. So I planned a second trip after the kids got out of school in June of 2025. What a difference. I made the reservation for a premium spot for our camper. The camper only sleeps 6. I brought a tent for the additional person. I spoke to someone prior to coming to the campground and explained this and asked if there was an addition charge I could pay since the website only allows 6 people total or should I rent a tent site to accommodate them. I was told that I couldn't pay extra as they only allow 6 persons per site, but there was no need in renting a tent site I could go to the office each morning and list the additional person as a visitor. At check in time , there was and issue. They ended up charging me $15.00 per day for the additional person (which was fine) However, when we started putting up a tent there were at least 5 employees drive by as we struggle to put up a new tent that had no instructions. No-one said anything. After 40 minutes we finally got the tent figured out and up , immediately there was an older lady (employee) who came by and told us this was not allowed and we would have to take down the tent. We took it down. The extra person slept in a very uncomfortable, hot pickup truck for the duration of our stay. Meanwhile the following morning the rv site across from us, same section, put up a tent. That tent was there for 4 days. No one said anything. I didn't complain because I did not want to ruin their camping . This was very unfair, I feel like we were singled out for some reason. Photo one (us) Photo 2 them. 4 days and tent still up when we left.
Jul 02, 2025 · SandyMy dad is staying there so we took our toddler to visit. The playground had some great unique apparatus. There was a huge bounce thing that everyone could enjoy and a giant sand pit. The pools were also great with a variety of water activities like basketball and watersides for I could go down with our little one. The gift store seemed to be having some technical difficulties but otherwise great.
May 26, 2025 · Jennifer ColemanNestled among towering trees, this campground offers a tranquil escape. The spacious sites provide ample room for tents and campers. Clean restrooms and convenient amenities enhance the overall experience. Friendly staff members are always available to assist guests. This campground is a perfect place to reconnect with nature and create lasting memories.
Jun 21, 2025 · Maurice NutuWe've been here twice and really enjoyed our time. They take care of you, and our kids have plenty to do. We've stayed in the cabins both times and liked the accommodations. We most recently stayed in the new skydeck cabin. It sleeps 8, so we split it with another family. 2 cars can park at the site, which is perfect. The sky deck was worth it. We spent a bunch of time up there hanging out. The upstairs isn't a full height ceiling. You have to crouch to get up there as an adult. We had one family stay upstairs (queen bed in br and 2 single beds in loft area) and one downstairs (king br and pull out couch). The location was the closest space to the beach, but far from the pool and shop.
Jun 26, 2025 · OPC o2I am EXTREMELY DISSATISFIED with how our vacation at Yogi Bear this year went. Something happens every time we come here. We decided to get the newer cabins since we were traveling with more people and they seemed nice online. We came about an hour and a half early and were charged $45. Upon arrival, we were told that most of the activities closed at 2 PM. Mind you, this was not clearly communicated on the website or in emails and we have booked here before. The ACs in both the upstairs and downstairs started leaking despite us keeping them at 69-70 the entire time! All of our stuff was soaking wet and ruined by the time we got back from the beach. The staff were once again, very unhelpful. Also, this may not be the fault of the camp itself, but while here, TWO of the kids started vomiting despite saying they felt perfectly fine before this trip when asked. The activities are pricey for the lack of professionalism and safety they provide. There were rowdy teenagers in the pool causing a danger to the younger ones and none of the lifeguards seemed to care at all! There are also loud planes that fly overhead and very loud trains that pass by both late at night. Multiple of the kids woke up several times from this. The kids were uncomfortable, the adults were uncomfortable, and the experience overall was uncomfortable. Very sadden by this. I feel as if we were ripped off. This could've been a great trip.
