Indian Creek Campground is situated at 2499 Pine Creek Rd, Sedalia, CO 80135, USA. This location places it within the beautiful Pike National Forest, providing a true mountain escape while remaining accessible to Colorado's Front Range communities. From Sedalia, the campground is approximately 10 miles west on Highway 67, with the entrance about half a mile from the intersection of Highway 67 and Rampart Range Road.
While the natural setting is a major draw, visitors should be aware that the campground is managed by the US Forest Service, and it operates with a focus on preserving the natural environment. Access to the campground is generally straightforward, but travelers should be mindful of mountain road conditions, especially during the shoulder seasons. While a specific phone number for the campground itself might route to the South Platte Ranger District, the main contact for inquiries is often (303) 275-5610, and reservations can be made via Recreation.gov or by calling 877-444-6777. Reviews from past campers highlight that clear signage to the campground itself might be limited, so having detailed directions, perhaps from the Forest Service website or confirmed with staff, is recommended to ensure a smooth arrival. The surrounding area offers proximity to the Rampart Range Recreation Area and Roxborough State Park, providing even more opportunities for outdoor exploration, including off-highway vehicle riding areas and dramatic red-rock formations. Despite its serene feel, Indian Creek Campground is close enough to communities like Sedalia, Parker, and even the Denver metro area, offering convenient access to supplies and services if needed, making it an ideal blend of wilderness immersion and practical accessibility for local Coloradans.

Indian Creek Campground Reviews
Came to check out for possible trail riding and camping on first day, came up with horses for day ride on the second day. Camp host Matt was extremely helpful, kind and informative. On our second day he came by to collect fees, and thank goodness he did because we had forgotten they were required! Fee notices are posted at campgrounds, but not in day use parking lot or at the trailhead. Horse camp looks quite adequate, but most corrals lack shade for the horses. Lovely trail system.
Jun 28, 2025 · rob carterMatthew was so accommodating to me and my friends who came to this campground this past weekend. The bathrooms were clean and conveniently placed nearby and there was a water station as well, which was great! I loved that our campground had enough space from neighbors to where we felt like we had our privacy. I loved seeing the horses come by here and there as well. Thanks again Matthew!

Nov 02, 2024 · Kristen EiseleinI love this place. They have 2 separate camp sites, one for pedestrian campers and one for equestrian campers. I'll write a separate review for equestrian facilities. As far as pedestrian camping goes, there are two loops. Site 6 is ADA accessible. Site 5 is the largest if the sites, site 7 is also large with a long driveway, perfect for small group camping (max of 8 ppl) with room for 2 vehicles to park (1 with a pop-up) and room for 2 or 3 tents. Sites 5 & 7 both allow for space to set your tents away from the dining area. The host, Beth, is AMAZING! There is 1 vault toilet in each loop, both were very clean and did not smell awful. Camping is $22/night with a drop box at the entrance for easy payment, but it is first come first serve. Check in is at 2 and check out is at 12. Several trail heads lead to a variety of gorgeous trails. Some steeper, uphill, rocky and exposed while others are more shaded with lots of lovely ground cover and wildlife. There is also a road that is perfect for bikes and wheelchairs that leads up to a look-out point and if you have the stamina for it, you can take the trails to a pond/lake. Bears, deer, elk, rabbits, snakes, and a plethora of birds live in the area and are always a joy to see in the wee hours of the morning when it's quiet.
Sep 13, 2021 · Hailey BaileyCamp host Jerry was friendly & helpful. Other campers seem to behave being mostly quiet. Water-dumpster-vaulted toilets and clean. Day use hiking-biking-horse back riding trails. Parking limited in campsites. 2018 fees $22 per night & $7 per additional vehicles. Access passes honored.
