Hume Lake Campground

Hume Lake Rd, Hume, CA 93628, USA

4.0
Awesome place for the family to camp. It’s been 20 years since we last visited this area. Our neighbors left their food and trash outside and unfortunately attracted a bear in the morning and it was a pretty close call. We had to save them and scare the bear away as it was moving between their tents and trash. Cool to see that and many deer roaming the campground. Other than that. The host was friendly and accommodated our group. Will visit again. Also no showers keep in mind. - Diego Ortega

This puts it squarely within the Sequoia National Forest, a short drive from the entrances to both Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks. The elevation here is approximately 5,250 feet, offering a refreshing climate, especially during the warmer months, compared to the lower valleys of California.

From Fresno, visitors typically take Highway 180 east, continuing past Grant Grove, then turning onto Hume Road.
