4.0
We stated in this beautiful campground for 9 days, fully enjoyed it, so peaceful and clean. We are in loop 2, most sites are leveled and big rig friendly, our 5th wheel is 40’ and is ok to settle on site #75, but won’t recommend if longer than that as it’s not quite leveled, took some efforts to hook up the truck when left. We also went to the Rolling Campground to browse around. It’s bigger and have more facilities, but to us it’s kind of too quiet. - Xiaohong D.

Promotions or Special Offers

As a North Carolina State Recreation Area campground, Holly Point Campground operates under the guidelines of the NC State Parks system. This means it typically does not offer traditional commercial "promotions" or "special offers" such as sales, discounts, or loyalty programs found at private campgrounds. Fees are standardized and set to support the maintenance and operation of the park for public enjoyment.

However, North Carolina locals can still find "offers" in terms of value and available programs:

  • Affordable State Park Rates: The camping fees at Holly Point, like other NC State Parks, are generally very reasonable compared to private campgrounds, making it a highly cost-effective option for a premium lakeside camping experience.
  • North Carolina State Parks Passport Program: While not a direct discount on camping fees, the NC State Parks Passport program encourages visitors to explore all state parks. Collecting stamps throughout the year is a fun "reward" for frequent park-goers and fosters a deeper appreciation for North Carolina's natural treasures.
  • Senior and Access Passes: For qualifying individuals (e.g., seniors, those with permanent disabilities), federal and some state parks offer discount passes that can reduce camping fees. It's advisable to check if North Carolina's state park system has a reciprocal program or its own specific passes for reduced rates.
  • Off-Season Camping Value: While rates might be consistent, visiting during the off-peak seasons (e.g., late fall, winter, early spring outside of major holidays) can offer a more peaceful experience with fewer crowds, making reservations easier to secure for a quiet getaway.

The true "special offer" of Holly Point Campground lies in its inherent value: a consistently "peaceful and clean" environment, "beautiful" surroundings, and "big rig friendly" sites, all accessible at a public park rate. This combination provides an exceptional camping experience for North Carolina residents. Always check the official North Carolina State Parks website or ReserveAmerica for the most current pricing, reservation policies, and any specific seasonal operational details.
