Highway 250 Campground is strategically located at 25276 MN-250, Lanesboro, MN 55949, USA. This places it on the northeast edge of Lanesboro, a charming and historic small town often referred to as "Minnesota's Biking Capital." The campground's most significant geographical advantage is its immediate proximity to two major natural assets: the beautiful Root River and the expansive Root River State Trail system.
Accessibility to the campground is straightforward, being directly off Minnesota State Highway 250. This ease of access is a huge plus for those traveling with RVs or larger campers. Once you arrive, the convenience truly shines. Highway 250 Campground Reviews
Great place to camp! Right by the river, the bike path and Lanesboro!
May 10, 2025 · Kim AmossonLarge sites with mature trees. Very clean, quiet. Affordable and close to town. Large bathrooms and showers. Showers cost .50 cents for five minutes, 20 seconds but plenty of time. We would absolutely camp here again. P.S. only one criticism....their office is hard to find. It is above the bathroom area. Go up the stairs and knock on the door to their residence. They need to post a sign so people can find the office.
Jun 29, 2023 · Ginger EngelsWould highly recommend a trip through this campground! It’s nestled in a beautiful part of Minnesota along the root river with access to wonderful bike trails and viewpoints. Many little towns to stop in. The campground was well kept, accessible and the owner was super responsive. They have bathroom facilities, power, firewood and a playground.
May 13, 2023 · Jazmine KeithQuiet. Close to downtown, bike trails, river.
Jun 17, 2025 · Dawn SuterWe had a wonderful week camping here. The campsite was right up against the river, large and had lots of space. The best thing of all was the trail was right there, next to the campsite. We could hop on with our 5 year old and go for a few miles or get into town to get some ice cream or to the grocery store for the inevitable forgotten item. The playground has been updated which was wonderful for the kids. I sent them and my husband there for some playtime while I cooked dinner.Everything is fairly relaxed. Folks will come up to say hi. And when John isn't there to greet you when they first arrive, one of the regulars will and help track him down for you.John keeps it simple. So bring cash or check to pay for your site. :)
