- Spacious Sites: Reports of "large site sizes" and "mega" sites suggest ample space between campers, contributing to privacy and comfort, avoiding a "rack 'em and stack 'em" feeling.
- Multiple Lakes for Recreation: The four lakes offer diverse opportunities for water-based activities, particularly fishing, which can be a major draw for anglers.
- Seasonal/Long-Term Options: The dedicated focus on seasonal sites caters to those looking for a more permanent or extended camping home base, a feature not all campgrounds offer.
- Variety of Site Types: The availability of different site types (lakeside, wooded, 50 amp, 30 amp, concrete pad, gravel, grass) suggests options to suit individual preferences.
It is important to note the concerns raised in some reviews regarding the playground's condition, the perceived decline in owner care and scheduled events, and issues like weed smell and dog waste. While these points indicate areas where the campground may need to improve to meet all expectations, the core amenities and the established community remain notable features.

Hidden Lake Campgrounds Reviews
Great place!! Everyone is so friendly. Kept up/clean. All the kids love this place.
May 26, 2025 · karen WWe were seasonal members for 7 years here. When we first started camping, the owners seemed to care about others and issues going on. However, in the last 2 years, we've had family health issues and weren't able to be out at our camper much, but we still paid on time. I didn't realize that in the seasonal contract, you have to be out a minimum of 15 days, or they will ask you to leave. We've always kept to ourselves and didn't complain about the constant weed smell (I realize it's legal in Ohio now, but it still stinks. Keep that stuff to yourselves) , or dog poo on our lot.(we don't have a dog anymore, so it's not ours.) Our daughter doesn't like going anymore as there's not much for the kids (playground needs updated badly) or scheduled events would be canceled due to poor participation. We used to like it here as there was always something going on or people getting together for things, and the owners seemed to care about their campers, but not anymore. When we asked the one owner about reconsidering asking us to leave, (his brother, Andy, recommend asking him stating they are usually able to be accommodating), he did not seem to care about the reason why we were not out. This is strictly a business to them now, a point he mentioned. He also mentioned he has a waiting list to get in. After that conversation, he wouldn't look at us and even went out of his way to look the other way when we drove by. (It used to be everyone waved at everyone, even if you didn't know them.) Now, his brother, Andy, continued to be professional and polite through the end, and I do appreciate that. It's sad to see that this is strictly business and not the family owned and cared for campground it used to be. If you want to just feel like a number (something you can get from a big chain), then sure, this place is ok. I can no longer honestly say I recommend them and will not encourage others to stay there.
