Hidden Lake Campgrounds is primarily geared towards providing essential services for RV camping, ensuring guests have a comfortable and functional base. While some past amenities are no longer available, the core offerings are designed to meet the fundamental needs of campers.
- Full Hookups: The campground offers full hookup sites, including 50-amp electricity, water, and sewer connections. This is a crucial amenity for RVers, providing all the necessary utilities for a self-sufficient stay.
- Bathhouses with Showers: Bathhouses with restrooms and showers are available on-site. While past reviews have noted concerns about their condition, the facilities are present for use. It's advisable for campers to be prepared with their own provisions for hygiene if this is a primary concern.
- Stocked Catch & Release Lake: There is a stocked lake on the property, providing opportunities for fishing. While swimming in the lake is generally not permitted, it offers a peaceful setting and a potential activity for fishing enthusiasts.
- Dog Park: A dedicated dog park with artificial turf is accessible for campers traveling with their furry companions. This is a valuable amenity for pet owners, providing a safe space for dogs to exercise. Note that there are specific pet policies, including weight limits for domesticated pets (50 lbs or less) and breed restrictions (Pit Bulls, Dobermans, Rottweilers, Chows, and Wolf hybrids are not allowed). Pet fees apply ($20 per pet, per month, max two pets per site).
- Laundry Facilities: An on-site laundry facility is available for guest use, offering convenience for longer stays.
- Complimentary Hardwired Internet & Wi-Fi: According to recent public information, Hidden Lake RV Resort, which appears to be the same or an updated entity, now offers complimentary hardwired internet and Wi-Fi. This is a significant improvement from older reviews noting a lack of Wi-Fi.
- Propane Fill Station: Convenient propane sales are available on-site for refilling tanks.
- Access Controlled Mailroom: For longer-term guests, an access-controlled mailroom provides a secure way to receive mail.
Despite the changes in amenities over time, Hidden Lake Campgrounds retains certain features that contribute to its appeal for a specific type of camper. The focus is on providing a tranquil environment and practical facilities.
- Quiet Atmosphere: Many reviewers highlight the campground's quiet environment, making it an ideal choice for those seeking a peaceful retreat from the noise and activity of daily life. Campers generally "kept to themselves," fostering a serene ambiance.
- Spacious and Shaded Sites: While some spots might be directly in the sun, there are "tons of tent spots" and many "pretty RV setups around" that offer "plenty of shade." This provides comfortable options for various camping preferences.
- Reliable Full Hookups: The consistent availability of 50-amp power, water, and sewer hookups is a significant highlight, ensuring that RVers have all the necessary utilities for a comfortable stay.
- Focus on Long-Term Stays: The emphasis on "monthly rates" as the most sensible option suggests that the campground is well-suited for extended visits, catering to those who need a more permanent or semi-permanent RV base.
- Dog-Friendly Amenities: The accessible dog park is a clear highlight for pet owners, offering a dedicated space for pets to enjoy.
- Potential for Fishing: The presence of a stocked lake, even without swimming, provides a recreational outlet for fishing enthusiasts who enjoy a quiet day by the water.
- New and Upcoming Amenities: While past reviews mention closures, the updated information from "Hidden Lake RV Resort" indicates significant new and coming-soon amenities, including a heated pool & spa, artificial turf putting green, indoor dog grooming room, resort-style pool with lazy river, bar and grill, and a paved walking trail. If these are indeed implemented, they represent a substantial upgrade to the overall guest experience, transforming it into a more amenity-rich resort.
Based on the provided reviews, the primary "special offer" at Hidden Lake Campgrounds appears to be its pricing structure, particularly favoring longer-term stays. While explicit, short-term promotional deals might not be widely advertised, the campground’s operational model emphasizes value for extended visits.
- Monthly Rates: It is strongly indicated that the "monthly rate is the only way it makes any sense to stay here." This suggests a significant discount or more favorable pricing for campers committing to a month or longer, making it an attractive option for those needing a semi-permanent base. Recent information from "Hidden Lake RV Resort" indicates monthly rates for full hookup sites ranging from $475 (for HLR members) to $1100 (non-member), inclusive of utilities and Wi-Fi.
- Weekly Rates: Weekly rates are also available, with non-member rates for full hookup sites around $340, including utilities and Wi-Fi.
- Daily Rates: While daily rates are offered (e.g., $25.00 based on older data, and newer "non-member" rates around $68), reviews suggest these may not offer the best value compared to longer-term options, especially given the historical limitations on recreational amenities.
- Membership Discounts: The "Hidden Lake RV Resort" website indicates various membership-based discounts (e.g., AANR, HLR member rates), which significantly reduce daily, weekly, and monthly costs, implying that joining their membership program can unlock substantial savings for frequent or long-term visitors.

Hidden Lake Campgrounds Reviews
The monthly rate is the only way it makes any sense to stay here. You will be very disappointed in the restrooms and showers, there isn't any swimming or really anything for that matter. It's quiet, and everyone just kept to themselves. A spot, 50 amp hookup, water, and sewer is what we needed, and that was what we got. There isn't wi-fi, so if you don't have good service, you're hit. Not worth the daily rate at all.
Apr 26, 2025 · James SwendroskiThere's not much at the campground anymore to do. The park itself is quiet and the grounds are pretty clean. There's a dog park that's accessible but there's nothing else as far as for kids. There used to be a bunch of stuff...a restaraunt, slides, and a store BUT now it's all SHUT DOWN. There's water but you CAN NOT GET IN it. Good fishing I hear. The bathhouses are nasty and look like they haven't been cleaned, updated, or even regular maintenance in many many years. There's no air in the bathhouse or heat so that sucked. People around all seem really nice and there are some really pretty RV setups around and some old ones too...there's also plenty of shade around however there are some spots that are directly in the sun and I'm sure very hot. There's no WiFi but you can get spectrum. Cost includes water, electric and sewer. There are tons of tent spots.
Jul 11, 2023 · Dana WhitleyPeople can say what they want Hidden Lake is were I and a lot of people grew up! Yes some will say it is a pond and yes it is but that one place has made a lot of memories and it is amazing families connect down there and the owners are family people. Also every holiday the lake is full of different people there is people that live down there but they are very respectful. I am so glad that some people know a good place when they see one
Feb 06, 2014 · Taylor HayesVery quite place in winter. Looks like it would be fun in summer time. Only complaint I have is bath/shower house needs painting and heat. Very cold. After my last review they put a small heater in bathhouse and it's appreciated greatly. Small but better then nothing. Very nice people.
Dec 06, 2018 · Justin TimsSummer 2022. Went to check out Hidden Lake and it was a disgusting place. It might have been good in its day but it's no longer it's day. It was like a scene out of Deliverance when I pulled up at the Little shack to see what their rates were and check out the grounds. There were broke down vehicles all around the area and sitting under what I assume used to be the picnic areas. Would not spend my money to stay there for one second. The lake was disgusting and the shower houses should have been torn down years ago.
