Hermits Hollow Campground Reviews
Love this campground! Easily one of our favorites and only 45m away. Always clean and well maintained. The restrooms are always clean and plenty of toilet paper lol. We've stayed here two times in the last two years and highly recommend staying here. The campground is huge and there are more private spots than others, but being up in the mountains is quite a beautiful experience. There are lots of trails here to hike/bike on. It's always a little cooler here which we love. I always take some pants and a jacket no matter how hot it gets because usually in the evenings/nights it does get chilly.Campground hosts and rangers patrol the area regularly so we feel safe every time we camp. We have a small pop-up trailer that we stay in, but we never have any problems getting into spots.
Jul 19, 2024 · Lauren RobinsonWe just spent a few days in the bobcat loop. The campsite was 24 and it was a gem. Huge, very private and lots of animal and bird spotting. The toilets were clean. If you have a bigger camper the switchbacks and narrow roads into the campground will be tricky. Some of the sites were much smaller too.We did two great hikes within the park and the views over Estes were amazing.
Jun 19, 2024 · Haley Bartlett (Your Aussie Agent)Well-maintained sites. Super clean outhouse. only saw maybe 1 bug at a time (either 1 fly or 1 ant). Well stocked. Never smelled like an outhouse.Sites are far from other sites. I rarely heard anyone from other sites talking. Park rangers and visitor center people were super sweet and considerate. Loved them 100%. They're not the usual a**holes I've had at other campgrounds. Can buy firewood and ice at the visitor center for basically the same price as Safeway or a gas station. Maybe even cheaper. High kudos for the ease of access.Hammocks aren't allowed (they remove bark from trees and promote pine beetles that kill the trees). I get it. I just wish we had known sooner. We booked the perfect hammock site and were super sad to take them down.Overall, one of the best campgrounds I've been to in CO and I've camped pretty much everywhere.
Jun 17, 2025 · Hannah JacksonThis place is the best overall campground I have ever stayed at. Bathrooms were extremely clean and maintained. Trails are close by. Almost every camp site is a good one. It's a little bit pricey, but worth every penny. Wildlife is everywhere, so be prepared and diligent.
May 23, 2024 · Timothy BurnsI almost never give 5 stars, however, this place was exceptional. We RV and tent camped at the Bobcat campground. Dog friendly, even provide poop bags at camp entrance and trailheads, bear bins at each camp site and bathrooms remained cleaned, daily if not more. Great hiking trails. Will definitely go again and again.
